GI Report and recommedations
Ok so I have the written report from the GI consultant which thank goodness is overall very reassuring. Advice now at recommends continued treatment with dietary changes, frequent and small meals, no spicy and nothing 3-4 hours prior to bedtime. Although in all honesty laying down is not a major issue

firstly thank you so much for all your comments because you gave me the confidence to start the rifamixin course. I am now on day 5 of 3 x 550gm tabs daily for 10 days. Yesterday was my first fairly ok day in ages so I’m beginning to hope I may get some relief, which will be wonderful. My gastro report

Alternative to Domperidone tablets?
I've joined here because I'm interested to find out what tips others have on helping nausea/vomiting which I'd likely to be caused by the hydroxycarbamide even though it's a low dosage. I've been given Domperidone tablets but after having done a bit of research on it, I don't wish to take it (I believe

Daughters blood results, advice please
15 year old daughter has been having lots of time off school. not ideal in yr 10 and now 11. I feel a bit guilty about it all, think I have dropped the ball on this one. She had digestion problems when small, had an umbilical hernia repaired about 2 1/2- 3 years then several years of issues, vomiting

pain under ribs
I have been now been told my discomfort is ibs constipation and not hiatus hernia or acid reflux. Symptoms started 8 years ago and steadily deteriorated so I’m now finding it difficult to eat/drink. Domperidone did help (half tab not every day) but GE said not to take it as advice re impact on heart

Hi Fibro Family, I hope you are all coping these days. I have a few health conditions problems with my neck (spondylitis) knee damage (Chondromalacia ) and pain mainly in my lower back which makes me have to sit down after a few minutes, I feel it is like spasms. I am unable to get out now unless

Pain relief
Evening everyone 😁 I haven't posted in a while but you have always been so great with advice. I have been experiencing OC symptoms since September and have finally got my date for an exploratory laparoscopy on the 13th of June. I am REALLY struggling with the pain now 🥲 it has gotten steadily worse

hello all well, here “up north” earlier this evening we had the most horrendous thunderstorm lasting 30 mins - and with huge hailstones -and, I kid you not, SNOW! My poor bedding plants have taken a right battering. I digress! Hubby has been advised to take pain killers for the awful pain he’s getting

Deep pain after BM
This is quite new to me in the last few weeks, I think others here have experience, I'd welcome comments. Not so long ago a good poo with much wind would relieve and the discomfort would pass at least for a while. Now it's even worse before, and immediately painful after, deep inside. It can be sharp

Supporting evidence for PIP
I’m ploughing through the online form and it keeps saying about supporting evidence. I was diagnosed in 2021 by my then GP in the midlands over the Covid period - so not many doctor visits. Not much prescribed, using paracetamol and/or ibuprofen as and when necessary. Basically have been self-managing

A series of flares
I was first diagnosed with PMR at the end of 2018 after a very stressful journey to Australia, and since then I have managed to reduce to 3.5 mg of prednisone. I started to taper slowly to 3mg and then to 2.5mg and I had a flare. I needed to go back up to 5mg to control the pain in my neck and shoulder
