I decreased 400 mg to 12.5 mg because I didn't feel the emotions like being happy or having a pleasure doing anything and also because of the extreme anxiety, I am now at 12.5 mg and I don't feel still no emotions except anxiety, I don't laugh and not even a smile, even nicotine doesn't stimulate dopamine

Experience with tapering Neupro, Dopamine Agonists, and managing DAWS
Hi all, I'm reaching out specifically to those who have lived with Parkinson's disease for over 10 years and have decided to discontinue dopamine agonists (Mirapex, Requip, Neupro) due to severe side effects. I'm a 56-year-old male, diagnosed with PD 11 years ago, and have been on agonists combined

Which treatment after dopamine agonist withdrawal?
I'm currently fighting to withdraw from dopamine agonist (DA) after a severe augmentation. I was prescribed some other drugs to help me go through this process (tramadol, pregabaline, clonazepan, wellbrutin). My plan is to get back to my pre-DA RLS baseline level, and to treat them with pregabaline only

Has anyone done an Organic Acid Test(OAT)?
I’ve been doing a lot of testing lately to determine what I should be eating or supplementing. The OAT will test methylation, b vitamins, oxalates, Mitochondria, amino acids and more. It also tests some neurotransmitters related to dopamine but understanding how I can use that information is above my

using Nicotine patch to control dyskinesia
I read that smokers have lower risk getting Parkinson’s. Nicotine is supposed to help with modulation of dopamine (sort of like gatekeeper) so it prevents dopamine surge that causes dyskinesia. I’ve read some articles from reputable publications like NEJM, NIH, pubmed etc but haven’t the studies are

6 month update off of Pramaprexole!!!
20 years on Pramaprexole and I am finally free! With the help of Jools and Susan on this page I have successfully weaned off and life is great! In November, I started filing off small amounts of my pill with an emery board of all things. It took two months, and at times it was hell, but in general,

Piperine and L-dopa producing probiotic
I recently ran across a couple of things about gut bacteria that I thought were interesting. The first involves the use of piperine (an extract of black pepper) to keep l-dopa from being converted to dopamine by bacteria in the small intestine, leaving more to travel to the brain; https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com

From Buprenorphine Patch to Tablet: A Memoir
Hi All, The regulars on this site, and I count myself as one, may be familiar with my RLS story, but for the walk-ins, I will give a brief backstory. About 3 months ago I successfully stopped using the Neupro patch to treat my RLS. 25 years or more of using a dopamine agonist came to a screaming halt

The Stimulation-Happiness Link: Your Experiences?
Do any of you recognize this: I want to explore the issue of lack of stimulation and my low mood. It's shocking how much one really leads to the other.
When I have stimulation, I feel alive, alert, happy, and content.
Even if (or perhaps because) there's pressure. But
when I have nothing engaging

I don’t know if I want to get better
In my heart, I know I really do want to live a better life. I’m miserable and sad and wasting my precious time here. But at the same time, I don’t want to put in the work to get better. I’m pissed that it doesn’t come naturally like it does for others. I also don’t know what makes me feel joy. Nothing

I don’t care which supplement is working.
I feel awesome; the combo could be placebo. Today I took: - 2 scoops of Inulin and a Probiotic first thing in the morning. My whole body felt tingly for 45 minutes. (Tingly may be the wrong word, it wasn’t unpleasant, more like a glow.) - Hour later: 1 Neurogan’s Urolithin A 700mg, 1 Fatty15, 1-1/

Buprenorphine
I thought I would share my story . I live in Gloucestershire and have suffered with chronic rls for over 30 yrs Dopamine Agonists worked quite well until I hit augmentation last year. Getting off them was hell and was often suicidal . This forum saved my life. Last month I finally got put on Buprnorphine
