I am currently on 1mg Prednisolone and have been for the past 12 weeks. I have always reduced this drug very slowly on the recommendation of this extremely helpful forum and have never experienced a flare. My routine yearly blood tests are now due at my GP surgery and I have been in touch with one

Cortisol test before or after Prednisolone
Been taking Prednisolone for 18months or so and am currently working my way down from 3mg to 2mg . So far apart from a couple of mini flea . I am doing OK. Recently went to see my GP to arrange the usually CRP and EST blood tests and she thought I should do a morning Cortisol test. I was however puzzled

Hello. I’ve joined here because it is mentioned in many of the sources I haven been using trying to make sense of what I’m going through. So I’m newly diagnosed and on day 6 of prednisolone. My symptoms are so much better in the afternoons and evenings but I’m still in so much pain and have very little

PMR diagnosis
Hi, this is the first time posting on this platform as I have just had a diagnosis of PMR after four years. (I am not complaining as I realise it can be extremely difficult to diagnose with all the complexities of autoimmune conditions) I became very unwell in January 2020 and was hospitalised with

Variable periods of bloating, constipation and normal bowel function.
Currently at 5/5.5 mg prednisolone, and tapering very slowly. I'm in my third year since PMR diagnosis having started on 15 mg.I enjoy a healthy diet with regular exercise, dancing, table tennis and walking, varying the pace with varying pain levels. Grateful for any suggestions for a quick remedy/relief

Been reduced to 7.5mg by April. Pain had increased by middle of April so towards the end of the month contacted

Does anyone take 15mg Bisoprol daily?
I recently posted a question about taking a medication to shorten an AFib episode and received some really helpful replies- thanks to everyone who replied. I was surprised that a few people were amazed that one of the blood pressure medications I take is 15mg of Bisoprol per day and say they would not

Off pred
Well I've now finally come off prednisolone after 3.5 years and I found you very helpful and supportive. Unfortunately I've had to join the afib support group because just as I've finished with pred I've now had to start beta blockers and blood thinners. I think I'd rather be on Pred. One thing after

Dealing with an AFib episode without meds.
I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal AFib by an Energency Dept Consultant who ordered certain tests to be done in the future and sent me home with Anticoagulants. I wasn’t given any advice on how to manage an AFib episode or a follow up consultation just a letter to say my test results were OK.A year later

A few developments - anybody got similar
Don’t want to bore you all but I have had a couple of developments recently apart from having my Rituximab extended for another year. Firstly I am on statins since last Thursday, I am fit, I get out, eat a low carb/high fibre diet but my cholesterol is around 7 so it just shows you. No after effects
