constant wind
Good morning all After many consultations I am now taking an
enema
(microlax) every morning after waking up with stomach pain. Normally I have a good bowel movement within a few minutes which helps so much.

They make the stool softer to avoid diverticulitis but I still can’t have a BM by myself and need an
enema
. Does anyone else need these. along with laxatives?

prep for EBRT? Daily enema?
I know I should have a full bladder, and “empty my bowels,” but an
enema
a day sounds like a lot. I’m obviously going to confirm these instructions when I go in on Monday for the CT Sim, but trying to figure out if this is something everyone does.

Enemas for constipation
I’ve got biofeedback physio on Monday but wanted to know if anyone has experience of using an
enema
for relief and if it can interact with my medication. It’s possible that the medication has caused the problem over time as I’ve been constipated over a few years and have had to exert force daily.

Constipation is a known issue with the Orgovyx
But I'm now on 4 types of laxatives and next am planning on getting an
enema
and trying that. I have an appt with the doc Monday, my six month checkup. He said this is a known issue. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to relieve it?

severe constipaion to severe diarrhea
Only an
enema
worked and sometimes not even that. Now he has developed the exact opposite. He has a dark brown stool that is the consistency of Coca Cola. It is sometimes so explosive that it shoots out of his brief and is on his abdomen and legs. We have tried everything.

Salofalk foam enema - should I feel it?
Gastro said to start Salofalk foam
enema
straight away at night. After having a bad reaction to Mezavant tablets in December, I thought I would just use one pump of the Salofalk foam to start with to see if it caused any reaction.

night time pains
However by taking an
enema
each morning when waking I get rid of the wind and normally have a bowel movement and can have a good day. However at night when going to bed I get wind and two hours later I am awake. I get rid of some wind which helps.

Terrified
I did a Fleet
enema
and finally 9 days after surgery I had a BM and it was like the flood gates to hell opened. I went over and over again with it getting softer and eventually diarrhea. Just as the cramping was stopping I looks and there was bright red blood in the toilet.

Enemas
It’s time for the big guns: I managed to find my trusty
enema
bag and 4 enemas later I feel so much better. In fact I feel great 😊. Despite warnings that they’re not ideal regularly, I feel that with such compromised motility, I’m probably going to make them regular if not frequent.

Barrigel is now preferred over "SpaceOAR" gel?
The doctor explained the procedure needs no prep (maybe an
enema
of the lower bowel) and he anesthetizes the insertion region while administering laughing gas. Takes about 30 minutes and I can drive myself home. I liked the doctor, had detailed answers for all of my questions.

Continuing my journey, rectal spacer and fiducials
NPO from mid-night,
enema
at the hospital. A little “hung over” from the drugs today, but the worst part was no coffee or breakfast yesterday morning. I have no pain or discomfort from the procedure and I am taking the Dr. at his word that he did something 😊 !

fed up
However my constipation is as bad as ever only relieved by taking an
enema
each morning. Then I seem to have wind the rest of the day and feel uncomfortable.

Why am I afraid to go to the bathroom?
I sometimes resort (too often lately) to an
enema
…not a whole
enema
- but I squirt a little when I’m sitting there in the hopes it will soften at least part of it…sometimes it helps just a little.
