Supplements to help liver
I have heard that various things can help the liver, milk thistle, artichoke,
dandelion
etc. Is there any merit in any of these. I do not drink a lot but the occasional drink would be nice etc.

Is there an "oligometastatic state" for prostate cancer (but not in breast cancer or lung cancer)?
The concept of an "oligometastatic state" is that there exists an early stage where metastases are few in number and are in some way different from metastases that develop later. It also means that there are no micrometastases in systemic circulation (in bone and lymph) and in reservoirs like bone, nerve

September Challenge - Walk and Forage
But I more often forage closer to home around the wild patches in our garden and am known to sneak
dandelion
leaves into our salads or wild garlic into our scrambled eggs or pick leaves from the fat hen family of plants in place of braised spinach.

There is a video by a doctor I cannot remember his name and there is a website listing all the ingredients in it, such as Ginger,
Dandelion
, Beet Root and Artichoke, etc. If you have something to share, I sure would appreciate the help.

Dandelion root (taraxacum officinalis) and gastrointestinal disorders
Has anyone ever used
dandelion
(extract) for improving the gut function? I've read some articles and it could be, amongst others, beneficial for the fat digestion in my intestines by improving gallbladder function.

#Photowalk Challenge April/May... Favourite places....Yellow and Blue...
A glorious day here on the Llyn today. After a week of wind, rain, snow, sunshine and showers. Most welcome indeed. Not feeling strong enough for a run yet, but a walk was needed. Visiting some of our favourite haunts, before heading home for a week, we headed for one, which is one of the beautiful

A change for a Friday...girls on a walk...
A shout goes up... ā First
Dandelion
ā! Small one has keen eyes...Alice has made her way through a small, deep pond into the next fields, we take the slightly less, deep route, wet though, and very muddy...walking at the edge of the field, towards the railway line, overgrown and silent.

Diuretics - dandelion good, coffee bad, what's that about?
Some of the threads about swollen ankles suggest using
dandelion
tea as a diuretic. On the other hand we are not supposed to drink coffee because it is diuretic and we need to stay hydrated. Can anyone explain why one is okay and the other not?

Dandelion Tea Good or Bad?
Has anyone used Organic
Dandelion
Tea? It's supposed to be good for detox of kidneys and liver. I'm stage 5 CKD, not on dialysis, take BP meds and on waitlist for kidney. I want to try this, but not sure if I should. I've read it can be good and sometimes also bad for CKD.

Lycopene, Heat, Magnets
Long story short, over the years I self-experimented with many dietary supplements and pseodo-cures, like asparagus, apricot seeds, garlic,
dandelion
root tea, lemon grass, wormwood, antioxidant supplements, etc. Nothing seemed to make much difference except lycopene.

A lovely morning for a run
Yesterday Mr Yes was still feeling the effects of his fast Parkrun so we had a day off. Today we were both bright eyed and bushy tailed. There's a R4 podcast, Just One Thing with Michael Mosley, that suggests small changes you can make which will improve your health without too much effort. It suggested
