Another cause of declining bone health
Have just come across this article: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11914-023-00843-1 which links
SARS
-CoV-2 infection to increased osteoclast activity and consequently increased risk of osteoporosis.

Paxlovid and Lagevrio Benefit COVID Outpatients in Omicron Era September 19, 2023
Mutations of the
SARS
-CoV-2 virus are continuously emerging, and they affect how well treatments for COVID-19 work (3, 4). This version of the practice points evaluates evidence specific to the
SARS
-CoV-2 Omicron variant becoming the dominant variant of concern.

L-tyrosine causes sebaceous hyperplasia?
I take a hypothyroidm supliment that has L-tyrosine. Since I take it I got this acne called sabeceous hyperplasia all over my face and on my boob and under it. I read that L-tyrosine increases testosterone, which leads to PCOS (which I have) and sebaceous hyperplacia. Did anyone experience this? How

Bowel cramps?
I had a laparoscopy about 9 weeks ago. I had endometrioma's removed from my ovaries, lots of adhesions removed from right pelvic wall and endometriosis removed from surface of the bowel. I'm presuming it was excised but I won't know for sure until I see my consultant in two weeks. My question is, is

Abdominal burning pain
Do people suffer with burning pain, a bit like IBS pain, but more constant and burning anywhere across the abdomen. I am still awaiting tests to confirm PA, but I know I have a very high pH, so almost no stomach acid, which is obviously causing the pain. I eat a varied diet, not much in the way of processed

Hello, I've posted before whilst waiting for dermatology appointment this June for suspected discoid lupus. Hemosiderin staining?
Hi, Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve woken up today with rust like staining, mainly on my left hand with a little on my right. No logical cause from anything I’ve touched. Googling seems to suggest it is hemosiderin staining, though they are mainly US sites. This could make sense as I still

when I was first diagnosed with HGS OC in December 2021, it had spread till the lungs. There were 2 small nodules in the lungs along with pleural effusion in the right lung, which was also tested to be malignant. Have been NED since first line ended in June 22, and been on olaparib since. Day before

Just a touch away: CT-optimal touch perception and its influence on pain and itch
Psychologist Larissa Meijer has discovered that gentle caresses from a partner can provide relief from chronic pain. This treatment has no side effects and can be done at home. It should normally be free too 🙂 Meijer has demonstrated the effect of light stroking on pain and itchiness in Parkinson's
