Mum is finding it difficult to take Soluble Madopar. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the Madopar Patches that stick onto the skin. I believe it is a different name to Madapor. I would appreciate any feedback if you have tried this type of patch.
Many Thanks

Madopar is a levodopa medication. There will never be a patch for levodopa medications because too much is needed to be able to be absorbed through the skin.
Yes you are correct.. I am trying to work out how I can have Mum take the Madopar. She just doesn’t want to take it☹️ I thought there maybe a type of patch that was suitable.. but maybe not!
Sorry, I can’t help to answer your question. I among high dose of Prolopa, which is the Canadian equivalent of Madopar, except it comes in Capsules, only. There are other answers about why there re o others.
I find to to be very good mediation. On a high dose I have no side effects at all, and I take no supplements and follow no special diet . I get my advice from a Movement Disorder Clinic, they have enormous experience, seeing hundreds of patients a ear.
