Propranolol for high bp?
Going back to
zestril
that also has increased my peeing but the main problem is the cough, which can be bad at times, but it's better than the olmerstartan. Unfortunately it has not lowered my bp sufficiently in the two weeks I have been on it. Still in the 150s.

Rectocele anyone?
I am looking for other women's experiences regarding a rectocele? I was diagnosed around 25 years ago but really had no symptoms until recently. Now I have a feeling of pressure in my rectum most of the time and it's very uncomfortable. I was wondering what measures others have taken ... an operation

Nails!
My nails are really deteriorating, soft, bendy, peeling. They’ve been poor for ages but this is much worse. Nothing topical is helping. I’m on 75 mcgs levothyroxine and my TSH levels are good - and on 0.01 % estriol cream for dryness. Could it be that which is making the difference, although I was

Quinine
I have primary RLS, it's runs family. My mom, sister, brother and now son all have it. Mine started at 11 on a long car ride home. It worsened over the years. I told my family doctor about it at age 21 and he wrote me a script for Quinine capsules. Boom gone! Years later the new doctor says it didn't

Interesting article!
Yesterday I read that a hormone called estriol helps repair the myelin. Is anyone taking this and has it helped? Leslie

Pelvic pain with blood/brown discharge
Hi - I'm 61 and get pelvic pain and occasional blood and brown discharge when I wipe myself after weeing. I've referred to my GP and the issue has been investigated with tests including an MRI scan but they can find nothing wrong. I use HRT patches with combined Progesterone daily. I also use Estriol

Vaginal atrophy and dryness
Hi everyone, I've been prescribed Estriol which is a hormone for vaginal atrophy and dryness after pelvic radiotherapy 9 years ago. Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative cream or pessary please as I don't want to use a hormonal solution especially after reading the side effects? Thank you

DOES ANYONE TAKE SONATA, LUNESTA, or RESTORIL for their RLS and if so, does it work for you?
Dr. Buchfuchrer's website list a host of drugs that have been prescribed over the years for RLS and their effects. Wondering if anyone takes either of these three for insomnia and RLS?

Zytiga side effects
Hi All, I started Zytiga one week ago. The biggest problem I am having is sleeplessness. Even with taking Restoril, a sleeping pill, I average between 3-4 hours of sleep per night. I’m a freaking zombie. My MO prescribed Trazodone for sleep, but I believe Restoril is stronger. Also had anyone experienced

Has anyone used the medication 'Hyalofemme'
I have been given this product for Vaginal Atrophy and Vaginal dryness. Unlike the 'Yes Vaginal Moisturiser', it claims to repair the skin, and give it back it's own natural moisture. It also says it has been clinically proven to be as effective as hormone cream containing 0.1 % oestriol. Also claims

Oestriol and Lupus
I am 71 and have had recurrent UTIs. My GP has prescribed me Oestriol cream and told to use it daily, on my genitals, to help with the post-menopausal atrophy of the general area but particularly around my urethral opening. With oestriol I do not need progesterone. The leaflet in the box

The Neuroendocrine Connection
Adrenal hormones, sex hormones, and neurotransmitters are functionally interrelated. Changes in sex hormones and adrenal hormones can lead to neurotransmitter imbalances. In turn, neurotransmitter imbalances can affect hormone function. The following tests are recommended to establish your baseline.

Thyroid estriol
Hello I apologise that this is similar to my other posts, but I’ve hit an incredible low!! I have not had a period for a year - nearly 50 - and tests 6 months ago from medi checks showed I was going towards menopause. So - no blood tests right now! I have paid to see a bio identical hormone doctor

Does Vaginal estriol cream effect the up take of T3 supplements?
If so, what is the best way to counteract this?

RLS after hip surgery
I have been on this site for a long time. I recently had hip replacement surgery and have had a severe increase in my RLS. The opiates that I take (methadone 10mg po every 8 hours and up to 20mg oxycodone po per day for breakthrough RLS) used to work wonderfully, but since I have this hip replacement

Flaxseed
My NMD told me that flaxseed causes estradiol to decrease in preference of estriol. Estriol is supposedly good for PCa depending on how much ERb and ERa one has. I have been on supraphysiologic testosterone (SPT) for a little over a year. I use an AI (letrozole) and my estradiol hovered around 20 pg/

Cost comparison between Lupron and Oestrogel
Until the ‘Patch” trial is completed sometime next year there seems to be a lot of unanswered questions regarding the use of tE2. Has anyone experience of Ospemifene
Hi I am interested to hear of anyones experience of taking the oral tablet Ospemifene and does it help with atrophy. Is it available in the UK? I am unable to use vagifem and estriol; the discharge burns and causes so much discomfort. I am due to see a pelvic floor dermatologist in a couple of days
