happy Saturday!
I brought home my dog domino following acl surgery and am overwhelmed about his rehab routine. Massage, ice, meds, trips to vet daily for laser therapy, etc. for at least 8 weeks. Has anyone else been through this and have any coping skills to suggest?

update on prolotherapy
I have had my first prolotherapy injections, they don't hurt much at all.......I must admit the next day I thought oh no I have done the wrong thing....my legs were so bad I wanted to jump off the bridge. Today they have settled down a bit. I suppose this has happened because the prolotherapy causes

Well the acupunture doesn't seem to be helping at this stage, have stopped it and trying reflexology and Low level laser therapy. The GP put me on 20mg Norspan patch from 15....it didn't seem to change the effect on my legs at the higher dose but it made me quite nauseated and sweaty and tired on higher

Iron infusion error.
Hi all, Be extremely alert if you ever have to have an iron infusion as misplacement of the cannula can have severe consequences. In my case the needle didn’t fully enter the vein so the fluid dispersed around the tissue resulting in permanent staining which has made me look like an orangutan. Only

Dry-Needling and Low Level Laser Therapy By Physios: Does this really work and can it worsen tinnitus?
I triggered tinnitus and hyperacusis over 7 years ago now. Luckily it always went eventually but as of about 4 months ago it seems as if it is here to stay and a lot worse. An otologist told me that areas I said gave me pain could be consistent with TMJ issues and that he worked with a physio who could

Bloating and thyroxine hormone absorption
Would bloating of the digestive system after some liquid medication I have been given for an infection affect the T4 tablet absorbtion? I am also avoiding lactose and have noticed an improvement in the absorption but I have not managed gluten at the moment due to trying to recover. I know T4 is absorbed

Which medicine is messing with my thyroid med uptake
Might anyone be able to suggest which of my other meds has affected my thyroid med uptake (100mcg thyroxine and 2x5mcg t3)? I was prescribed digoxin, furosemide and bisoprolol after having open heart surgery 3 mths ago to resolve some anatomical defects. Uptil that point thyroid levels were stable

magnesium
I have been taking vit D and K2 for a while now and have been told that I should be taking magnesium to help with the absorption , only not sure which one to take, there’s so many . A friend has recommended magnesium bisglycinate , which I’ve not heard of. Also I’ve read that taking magnesium can interfere

Blood test results advice since starting T3
Just got my medichecks results through. Tests taken pre 9am, fasted with delayed T4 and split T3 dose as per protcol. To recap, I added 1 x 5mcg T3 for the first time about 8 weeks ago. Endo told me to reduce my thyroxine from 125 x 6/100x1 . I didnt do this, but reduced half way and have been taking

I’m reaching out to the knowledgeable members of this incredible community from whom I have learned so much… to maybe give me some further insight…. I was diagnosed almost a year ago. Have been on Hydrea 2x500 a day. Have been feeling very ordinary of late… overwhelming fatigue, joint pain, the bloating

results comparison - question around conversion…
hi there I have posted a few times in the past - more recently about my private dr suggesting T3 medication route. After getting advice on her I decided not to pursue that at this time and instead titrate my T4 / Levo up a step (from 50mcg to 75mcg daily) - have just done blood test after 8 weeks

Wow! Did medichecks test and for the first time in all the time I’ve been testing my TGAb were in normal range (110 with range under 115). TPOAb within range as usual. Strontium citrate results in regaining bone
For those who ask if bone can be regained without pharmaceuticals – you may be interested in this. I am 73 and was diagnosed with osteoporosis more than a decade ago. My bone density tests have shown continual decline. My doctor urged me to take Prolia but I declined. I researched strontium citrate,

What are the better treatments for metastasis of the bone and pelvic lymph nodes?
Just found out the past few weeks from a biopsy and a PET/CT scan that the cancer was not contained in the prostate but metastasized to the pelvic lymph nodes and the bones. Was a surprise to me and to the urologist as well. He is recommending no surgery but a multimodal therapy with androgen deprivation

Feeling a bit depressed again with these results......
Just had some bloods done this morning, feeling exhausted this week, no energy, falling asleep all the time despite being on steroids for adrenal insufficiency, feeling a bit nauseous, headachey all week. It seems like all that's changed in 6 months is that my cortisol is lower, my TSH is higher (was
