hysterectomy and ovary removal
hi, I’m after some advice pls. I have severe endo and adenmyosis. I’ve had a son and wont be having more children. The gynae has advised doing a full hysterectomy and removal of both ovaries. Can anyone tell me how the recovery is, when I would expect to be back working at my desk job? Did it help you

post hysterectomy endo
Have had full hysterectomy with bilateral
ovary
removal
. Have endometriosis and adenymosis. Still having endo pain symptoms. Have been told it’s not a gynae issue. Pelvic nerve pain is severe. There is no endo specialist in Northern Ireland.

Total hysterectomy with oopherectomy recovery advice needed please!
My other option is to have a full hysterectomy, including
removal
of the remaining
ovary
and fallopian tube. That’s a lot of background; probably too much.

your thoughts welcome
The consultation before that also were suggesting bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy or left
ovary
removal
. Were suggesting both in case it came to the other side!! Couldn't see point in getting rid of a perfectly good ovary on left..anyway found that all a bit drastic.

You Are All Amazing
Cytology results to be ready in about a week, but it was recommended to do hysteroscopy and mass/
ovary
removal
asap. I am a foreigner in the country where I work and right now I am trying to figure out how the system works here, fortunately, my colleague is helping me out.

Some advice please
Hi, I'm in surgical menopause and have not felt 'well' for a number of years now. I won't bore you with the backstory of my trials and tribulations with HRT, all in the pursuit of feeling well enough to fully function. I've questioned Thyroid for some time, I had tests last September and posted them

menstruation after bilateral oophorectomy
Hi, I'm really hoping to open a big list of answers, but I'm stumped. In 2020 I had surgery and both ovaries were removed since they were necrotic. I never really knew what happened because you hadn't even started a sexual life and it turns out that they were infected by a sexually transmitted infection

Recent HF diagnosis
Hi, I was diagnosed with heart failure a couple of months ago when I woke up one morning struggling for breath with fluid in my lungs, having had virtually no previous symptoms. Looking back, maybe I was a bit short of breath over the last few months but did a sprint-distance triathlon 6 months ago so

Hi, I was told I was I had Subclinical hypothyroidism in 2017 but was not significant so no further input. Unsure of exact results but TSH was raised, but <10 with normal T4 (but do not have a copy of the results). Past few years have noticed hair loss, muscle aches & pains, tiredness, some weight gain

Hi all, I am looking to hear from real people (you folks on this forum) about your experiences for a bilateral oophorectomy. I have been suffering with debilitating endometriosis symptoms for more than a decade and on Monday March 4th I saw a consultant about my treatment steps. She was the surgeon

Hello everyone. Firstly I want to say a big thanks to everyone that helped me understand my mum's results and situation. I also got my wires crossed and gave some wrong info. My mum did have a test before they prescribed 25mg, TSH 8.58. They said as she was 'borderline' they would try levo before considering

oophorectomy and tubes snd endo removed ten days ago pain still
I had ovaries and tubes and endo removed ten days ago. I thought I was doing quite well but my left side ovary pain is back so I’m worried now but the ovary is gone - hopefully it’s just muscle pain but I can’t bear the thought of this pain again. Anyone else had this op and then been ok after a while

Estrogen Replacement therapy after surgical menopause
Hi everyone! I would like to chat with somebody who may have or is going through a similar experience. I had a full hysterectomy- removal of everything, over 20 years ago. I am on 2mg of Estrogen once per day. The docs used to do the implant yearly but it is no longer available. I am now 51

hypothyroidism and surgical menopause
Anyone struggling with hypothyroidism and surgical menopause? I could use support as I am struggling with both and trying to find how to distinguish which is causing my debilitating symptoms. Also could oral progesterone be helpful with thyroid function or be the cause of hypothyroidism? Any insight
