Can azathioprine cause chest pains?
Hi, I have been on azathioprine tablets mostly 75mg to 100mg for my Lupus for approximately 20 years. Have been experiencing chest pains on my left side especially after excretion. I had various tests and scans but they are all negative. I had Covid last September and had to stop taking the azathioprine

Coronary artery calcification, osteoporosis and B12 deficiency- what to do next ?
I have just been found to have coronary artery calcification incidentally when having a Lung Healthcare scan. This information was passed to my GP who wants to put me on statins (Atorvastatin 20mg daily). I have no idea of the severity or extent of the calcification, only that it was found. I don't

Still not back to normal
I had a heart attack, (NSTEMI) in August 23. I had a stent and was put on standard medication, plus went through cardiac rehab with good results. But I'm not over it. I go dancing regularly, walk as much as possible and rest when I need to. My GP recently adjusted the dose of bisprolol (doubled to 5mg

stent and cataract removal
Has anyone had a stent fitted at the same time as the removal of a cataract? How did it go? Would you recommend having both done at the same time?

Stopping ezetemibe
1 year post NSTEMI and stent and finally had a call from cardiologist. Basically all fine thankfully. They said I could stop ezetemibe but stay on 40mg atorvastatin. Bit confused as NHS website says ezetemibe is for life. My cholesterol numbers are good ( LDL 1, ratio 1.9, total 2.5, triglycerides 0.4

Stent
Hi, Last year I had an angiogram. It showed a fast heartbeat and a right artery blockage of 70% I am taking procoralan 5mg daily. The cardiologist said there is no threat to me so that's very positive. If I remain symptomatic he may consider putting in a stent. I have discomfort in my chest, a heavy

Do I have heart failure or heart disease?
This is my first post. Back in 2019 I had what felt like "flutterings" and breathlessness/dizziness. I was diagnosed with arrhythmia. A 24 hour ecg showed ventricular ectopic beats. An echocardiogram showed mild valve leakages but no obvious cardiomyopathy. I was advised to stop/reduce my caffeine
