How many treatments of Chemo can the body handle
I have had 7 cycles of docetaxel and 3 of
cabazitaxel
. The oncologist wants to continue with another 7 cycles of
cabazitaxel
. My question is how much of this poison can the body handle. Does this chemo destroy things permanently in the body. I know that the fatigue is taking over.

He underwent chemotherapy (10 rounds of
Cabazitaxel

Cabazitaxel - memory issues?
I don't see anything online about
cabazitaxel
causing memory issues beyond the usual "brain fog" that is temporary.

Anyone tried cabazitaxel (Jevtana) monotherapy?
I know it's unusual to do
cabazitaxel
without any other therapy, but hoping to find a few guys who tried it. I'm also thinking about taking enzalutamide (Xtandi) after the
cabazitaxel
if I still have detectable PSA. Thanks in advance.

Chemo Update March 27, 2024
Now I will be switching to
cabazitaxel
for another 6 to 10 rounds. Has anyone switched and had any luck? Apparently here in Canada they don't offer Pluvicto as SOC yet. I am running out of options.

Overall Survival With [177]Lu-PSMA-617 vs Cabazitaxel in Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer
With efficacy comparable to that of
cabazitaxel
and an improved toxicity profile, 177Lu-PSMA-617 could be a suitable alternative for the treatment of patients with metastatic-resistant prostate cancer. – Rodrigo Fonseca, MD

low hemoglobin and platelets
My husband in on Carbo and
cabazitaxel
and it is causing his hemoglobin and platelets to drop. He is now having to have blood transfusions every other day. Has anyone else had this issue and if so did your blood counts finally stabilize?

What next after Docetaxel...?
Try Xtandi and when it fails move to
Cabazitaxel
. 2. Take a break and start
Cabazitaxel
. 3. Take an unspecified break and do a PET scan. Several options to proceed, like
Cabazitaxel
and Xtandi , as in the past my failure was with Abiraterone(Zytiga).

PSA not dropping with cabazitaxel
Switched to
cabazitaxel
but after 3 rounds PSA is now 59. Had to have nephrostomy tubes put in Dec 6, 2023 and between them and low immunity from chemo have gotten one UTI after another. My heart says keep going but my head and body says "call off the chemo"!

4th line palliative systemic options?
She has suggested either abiraterone, clinical trials or
cabazitaxel
. He was on Xtandi for 15 months, then Chemo and last treatment was Radium 223. He handled side effects well. Any suggestions on what should be next with the 3 options offered? We are in Kawartha Lakes, north of Toronto, Ontario

Has anyone heard of trial DB-1311-O-1001?
We have tried pretty much everything over the last 6 years, ADT, docetaxel, Zytiga, radiation, keytruda (ended badly with severe pneumonitis), Xtandi and recently just timed out on
Cabazitaxel
. We through whatever “herbs and spices” we can at it too when there are no contraindications.

Short-term tactics to keep PSA in check
The
cabazitaxel
/carboplatin combo was effective but brutal in its attack on my immune system. Having had no treatment at all while my body tries to recover, I'm currently being considered by the Peter Mac Centre in Melbourne for LU-177.

UK Cabazitaxel/Carboplatin availability
I have a fairly urgent decision to make regarding my treatment. For the benefit of our US warriors, the UK National Health Service means that the overwhelming majority of patients do not have private healthcare insurance. I'm one of those. Now, with the decision to switch from Docetaxel to Cabazataxel

During the chemo with
cabazitaxel
last summer and autumn, I had some bleeding from the bladder and difficulty in urinating as well as urinary tract infection, treated with antibiotics. I still need to urinate quite often.
