Struggling
So we decided that my partner try first - she was trying via
artificial
insemination
at home, using a sperm donor. We tried for about a year and half and then stopped for a while due to it being quite an emotional rollercoaster, so put it to the back of our minds for another year.

NHS IUI funding and BMI
Hello, we’ve been referred by our gp to a clinic in Lincoln for IUI because of male infertility. I’ve read on the NHS website that they only do IUI for certain BMI ranges. I’m just in the “overweight” range. Does anyone know if I have to be in the “healthy” bmi to go ahead with IUI on the NHS?

Age, Donor Eggs & Anxiety
Hi warriors! Back on this wagon after quite sometime and looking for some advice, thoughts & most importantly your valuable emotional support. I’m 44 & after undergoing 3 IVFs & 1 IUI with my own eggs, have been advised by the consultant to consider the donor egg route as none of the cycles turned

IUI at 43
I’m hoping to hear from anyone whose had an IUI whose in a similar age range as me. I am 43 with secondary infertility (following primary infertility) and I have low ovarian reserve and had lap excision of mild endo 5 weeks ago, I also have mild diffuse adenomyosis. My husband won’t agree to IVF, and

financing iui/ivf using donors
Hi does anyone have any advice on how to finance iui/ivf? I spoke to my GP who told me same sex/solo women have to finance the first 8 rounds of IUI privately using unknown donor sperm before the NHS will help. I’m 36 so too old to get discount at private clinic (via share), am aware the sperm banks

Polyps and IUI
At my baseline scan last week a 3mm polyp was found on my lining, it wasn't there on my first round of IUI, which resulted in a BFN, but has appeared this time round. I am now in the difficult position of deciding whether to carry on with round two, due to surge tomorrow or Saturday, or to stop and investigate

Advice/support much needed!! 2nd round of icsi
Looking for words of encouragement or support as I’m getting ready for my second round and feeling really anxious and negative. My background: Had first ICSI cycle in Feb. Only got 3 eggs, 1 wasn’t mature, 1 was fertilised but didn’t make it, 1 made it to a low grade blast and was transferred on day

IUI instead of IVF when poor response to stimulation
Hello lovely people. I’m sorry for this long message but I wondered if anyone has an experience of IUI after IVF. I’m 43, no underlying factors, no MFI etc. we have done 5 cycles (high dose stims) producing 8-12 eggs each cycle, good fertilization and 1-4 embryos each cycle. Unfortunately all our

IUI vs. IVF
Hi, Firstly let’s tell you a bit about mine and my OH’s situation. We’ve been TTC for 2 years, I’ve had an internal ultrasound, HyCoSy - all fine and clear. My AMH is normal and I have regular periods. My OH’s results are also all normal apart from low sperm count. so we’ve been told to go for IVF

IUI at 42
Hello everyone I've had six embryos transferred over the last couple of years and i've basically come to the point where I can't afford to keep financing more proper egg collection type cycles. However, I have some sperm left from my first born son's daddy which I don't want to waste and I could afford

The cost of IVF
How do you stop yourself worrying about the financial side of IVF? The costs, extras etc. I'm a solo mum by choice and very lucky to already have a son as a result of IUI (4th go) 2 years ago. I'm now trying for a sibling, so far 3 failed IUIs and 1 failed IVF. I'm 38 with a low-ish AMH. The cost

Hello ladies I had my transfer on 2/5. (First IVF cycle). I had a failed IUI in September 2023 without explanation. I am currently in my 2WW and I’ve had cramps(stomach pulling), worse at night & nausea here and there. I was extremely tired within the first week but this week I’ve been feeling okay

hi all I’m just looking into doing IVF using donor eggs/sperm. I had a successful IUI in 2017 using donor sperm, gave birth to my beautiful son 2018, since then I’ve had two failed IUI’s and three failed rounds of IVF using my own eggs and donor sperm, I’m now looking into using donor eggs but just wondered

4 weeks +6 anxiety!
I'm currently 4 weeks +6 pregnant. The level of anxiety I've had this past week since finding out has been unreal. This is the first time we have ever seen a positive test after 6x iui and 2 rounds of IVF with fresh transfers over the past 2 years. This embryo was our first natural FET cycle with a top
