Deciding, once more to attempt a taper from 2mgs to 1 1/2, I ordered 1 mg tablets (in order to cut in two) . Lo and behold I was given gastric resistant 1 mgs… no use to me. Reordered !

There is a shortage at the moment. Just like last year. I hope they deal with it quickly. The supplier is Phoenix and they are based in Ireland I think.

Frustrating..but don’t get stressed about it…gives you a bit longer at 2mg, which probably is no bad thing.

Typical isn't it!!! If you'd needed them, they 'd have argued ...
I wasn’t aware you could get 2 mgm tablets, just 5s or 1s. I have cut them into 0.25 before now but it was a bit hit & miss. As DL said, why not wait a while, won’t do any harm.
You can get 2.5mg in both coated and uncoated. Not sure about 2 mg, though.
The only 2mg tablets I am aware of are for Lodotra/Rayos, a delayed release formulation which isn't used in the UK except privately and costs a fortune in the USA. I think it is also possible to get 2mg tablets of methyl prednisolone (Medrol) but usually people cut a 4mg tablet. It's a pain for tapering at low doses though.
Hi just a thought, what about taking 2mg one day then 1 mg the next day. I sometimes do this when it’s difficult to cut them . X
I also had a similar problem - a lovely chemist gave me a 5mg syringe and told me to dissolve a 5mg GastroR in it, and (shaking before administering) titrate my dose - worked v well. T
G/resistant was all they had in stock (in Malta). Now even those are in short supply. Like I need something else to fret about.
OK - fair enough. Didn't know anyone else outside the UK used it!!
