Hi I had an bad attack 4 weeks ago and stupidly went about my day and worked through it, after 5 days I gave in and had to go off work sick. I contacted my gp who gave me steroids and antibiotics. but 4 weeks on im on 2nd lot of antibiotics and 3rd course of steroids now on weening dose. im still not 100% but I have a pain in my right side shoulder blade area that is like a stabbing pain when I move is this just inflammation? or muscle damage?

I was under the consultant at Durham Hospital but had to change my appt which was 6 months late and they have accidentally removed me so now have to get re referred through my gp but all he seems to do is blame my weight, and want to change my meds. weight has been stable for 4 yrs and ive had asthma since I was a kid some 50+yrs. sorry to rant on just feeling a bit lost at the moment

Sometimes our muscles are in pain from coughing and breathing laboriously. Inflammation can cause pain too. How are you feeling now? What does your GP say? I'm sorry, it sounds like it's been a rough recovery.

Thanks for the reply. The breathing is easier now but still havr the pain. Anti inflammatories are helping a bit. Currently on holiday in Wales but will be back to gp on monday if still hurting
