Hi I took 5mg nomesterol acetate for 20 years for endometriosis - (stopped it 5 years ago). Stumbled upon pharmaceutical warning in France saying need to do MRI brain scan due to risk of brain tumours. New gynae rang lab who insist that MRI should be done with contrasting product (even though this product can remain in the brain!) so not too sure what to do! If I have to have regular brain scans for tumours I feel that this contrasting product is a risk hazard. Would be grateful if anyone could advise! From reading French fora lots of patients stressed and worried as some of these risks were know for sometime but patients not properly informed.
