Insomnia and Felodipine ?
Hi everyoneI have been on Felodipine for several weeks now after trying many other drugs for BP. While I feel a lot better on these drugs my existing insomnia is now off the scale!. I am now averaging 3 or 4 hours a night and over the counter sleeping pills aren't helping much. My GP says she has ran

Weight loss with Felodipine anyone ?
I have now been on Felodipine 2.5mg for 10 days I have reduced appetite and have lost 4 pounds. I am usually 7st 10lbs and really don't want to lose any weight at all. I have IBS and had a bad flare up with diahorrea but didn't notice any weight loss at that point. Have an appointment with GP 26th but

hello all I have had a stent today and was told to up my ramipril from 2.5 to 5ml - I usually take my 2.5 at bedtime is it ok to take 5 at night or should I split them for the morning and night - I’m worried about increasing them. Thanks in advance for any advice

Low Blood pressure concern
Hi I have been lurking here for a bit since my cardiac arrests in February. I'm recovering really well, but for the last few days, my blood pressure has been low for long periods of time ( a few hours) making me very light-headed. Typically my blood pressure is low in the morning (about 90/65) and then

Ramipril & Pulsatile Tinnitus
I want to share my experience with Ramipril for anyone who runs into this as I made it through what was probably the scariest week of my life. I was prescribed Ramipril to slow down heart failure, though my blood pressure isn't too high. I was only taking a low dose of 2.5mg daily. 2-3 weeks in I started

Here We Go Again

Post Cardioversion advice
After 4 ‘failed’ ablations, I yesterday had a cardioversion for atrial tachycardia. I went back into NSR after only one shock on the lowest setting and my EP was pleased with how the procedure went. Does anyone have any advice about how I can try to stay in sinus? I know it’s a bit of a lottery but

Ramipril cough!
I have had a persistent chesty cough for many years on Ramipril, my GP put me in for an X-ray recently and I will get the results in a week or 2, I highly suspect it's Ramipril cough as it most definitely can be a side effect of taking Ramipril, if my X-rays don't show any particular problem I shall

Change of levo brand to Aristo any problems anyone?
Hi, I have found that I'm sensitive to a change of brand and Aristo is now the only brand of levothyroixine at my local pharmacy. Since changing from Accord 2 1/2 months ago I've found that I've been having repeated headaches and weight gain. Also my blood pressure is scarily high. I'm aware this

I am 51 y/o and was diagnosed with v.high BP in Jan 2024 of 210/130. This stayed high (>198/120) even after a few days and immediately the GP put me on 10mg Amlodipine which reduced my average BP over 3 weeks to approx 155/95. I was then also given 2.5mg Ramipril too (after bloods were fine) and this

Ramipril cough
I was just wondering about peoples experiences with ramipril-related cough. I've had my medication switched recently because I was coughing more and more over time and it was doing my head in. Yesterday was my last day taking ramipril and while I'm certainly aware the cough may take some time to stop

Ablation/S-ICD Recovery Time - why is it taking so long?
Bit of a long one… Hi all, I’m currently recovering from a 4 week hospital stay and struggling with the recovery period. I was admitted for investigation due to a high burden of PVCs which were making me very symptomatic. I had a previous diagnosis of low burden of PVCs, as well as mild dilated cardiomyopathy

My Angina Story - 2024
Hi - telling my story since I'm feeling a little confused and down, and wanted to share. Last year in 2023 I was diagnosed with high blood pressure (it's been a little high for past 20 years) but GP wanted to bring it down consistently so put onto Ramipril that did the job nicely. It was early Jan
