Personally I wouldn’t over react but when it’s time for a med review with the GP ask for a tapered reduction, eg in line with our Pred tapering schemes here. For instance 20mg old dose, 10mg new dose, then 10mg to zero using the same procedure. Ask the medic or pharmacist for a less hazardous alternative.

I’ve been Pred and omeprazole for 3 3/4 years. I’m definitely going to taper off.

He takes it for esophagitis. Has taken it for years. He cannot get Alz as my mother had it and I will probably get it. Yipes.
