This link gives some figures for overall survival with or without a transplant.

The headline really is the initial mortality close to the transplant is only worth risking if your MF is quite bad.

I’m not really sure I want to know my survival chances - unless they’re really good! Although I know we’re all different.

one thing to factor in is that paper was 2020 and the data was from before that date.

I was at a conference last year Oct and there was a expert talk on transplants and for sure every year they get better in terms of survival and also do them on older and older patients, I think as of last year they were up to 80 years young

For sure ´statistics’ aren’t the only factor to consider.

Personally I’m a SCT survivor (2015) but before making my decision I asked myself a lot of questions !

Medical progress is being made all the time.

Apart from medical advice I think it is also important to consider your ´gut feeling’ and those around you whose support will be essential.
