Hi, Has anyone experienced nerve damage as a result of endometriosis?
My surgeon warned me it was a risk associated with surgery and I already had some symptoms of nerve involvement but they're worse since surgery. Is there anything that helps?

Hi Giraffegreen,
I'm sorry to hear you are suffering with nerve damage. I also received nerve damage since surgery that runs down my legs. Although I've spoken to a collection of different doctors they all say it couldn't have possibly been from the surgery....
I have found naproxen helps, a bit. I had heard that tens machines can help with this. It didn't for me. But maybe for you, worth a try.
Hope you find something that works.
I take amitriptyline at night for scar tissue on my pelvic nerve
Hi, I have meralgia paresthetica (upper thigh numbness/tingling caused by nerve compression) which started pre surgery and I'm convinced it is due to the endo though I've not mentioned it to anyone yet. I also have sciatica which has been a problem for years.
And i have vulvodynia which is a nerve problem and I take amitriptyline for this which helps x
I use Alpha Lipoic Acid for nerve pain. I found it due to research for diabetic neuropathy. I don't have diabetes but it does help with my nerve pain. The therapeutic dose is 600mg a day up to 1800mg a day. Hopefully 600mg a day is enough for you. Start with a half dose of 300mg - i tipped half the capsule in the bin and close it back up. I did this for a few days to get used to it. If you send me a private message I'm happy to recommend brands too if you're in the UK. Best wishes
