Another Great 10 Days: DEXCOM

Well, another great 10 days with a sensor. Really happy and not anything to worry about except for two hiccups here and there when I was out of the house. There were a few alarms that went off, but they didn't last long.

When I went outside and it was close to 100 degrees, the receiver went off and I couldn't check what was going on at the time since I was midway down a few flights of steps and didn't want to fall down trying to get the receiver out of my pocket. When I got to a safe landing, I checked what the number was and how the arrow was heading. Turned out, the number and arrow changed their mind, and the numbers went back to where they tend to be on a regular basis. Nothing to worry about and didn't need any snacks at the time.

More to come soon. Watch this page and stay happy, healthy and safe.

Hiya, how’s your Dexcom 6 doing? I’ve not seen you post for a while and I’ve just seen a TV advert for the Dexcom 7. Have you been moved to the new Dexcom?

TTxx.

Hi,

Things are going okay on and off.

No upgrade to the next system for now. Will see if there’s any difference between them when the time comes.😀👍

Awesome....glad it's working for you. I've found that it took awhile to get used to and now I rarely have any issues...except bank holiday my transmitter decides to stop working after only 20 days 😑 so back to the old finger sticks but they were really good and replaced 4 sensors as well as a new transmitter that I had to go thru to make sure it was really the problem. Got it on Wednesday so good on dexcom for fast turn around 😁

Thank you! I have had to get a transmitter twice before because they stopped working before the 3 months battery life expired. That was unusual, but things did work okay afterwards.

How are your blood sugars with the finger sticks? I just got woken up by the alarm on the receiver today and had to have a snack this morning at 5:15 am.

Almost like I'd forgotten how to do sticks! 🤭 But the blood sugars we're fine. A little nerve wracking cos I tend to not think about hypos anymore too much cos my pump syncs too and stops giving insulin 😁 During the night was worried about going low without the dexcom and wondering if I'd remember how low feels like without the alarms. Does yours sync to a pump?

I don't have a pump, but I use needles and the phone with receiver during the day and the receiver at night when the phone is off.
