Worst allergy season change we've ever had. Advice appreciated!
She is on 6 hour duonebs,
xopenex
as needed, prednisone, all her regular inhalers and allergy meds. We want to start Xolair but know it won't really give us short term relief. Our lives are fairly consumed at this point with worry and anxiety, which of course just makes things worse.

I think my asthma's getting worse the last few years...has anyone else had this happen?
My doctor told me to take
xopenex
(my rescue inhaler) with a spacer every time. I already do most times. Kind of aqward at work if you know what I mean. But I've been taking
xopenex
a lot the last three weeks, I also have a sinus infection though.

Trying alternative medicine for allergies (or do your allergy meds help enough?)
I still take singulair, and some allergy meds, and I've used my
xopenex
(levabuterol) during a few weeks where I've had a cough, but other than some very mild asthma, I'm very pleased. It is coming up on my major Fall allergy season though, and I've been having a bit more trouble.

Rescue Inhaler Sometimes Makes my Wheezing worse?
I'm in the U.S. so I take
xopenex
(which is very similar to albuterol). Sometimes when I take 2 puffs of my rescue inhaler, it helps quickly (usually when I'm not sick). But when I take it when I'm sick, sometimes the wheezing gets worse for a while before it gets better.

Asthma attack and getting used to neb
At the moment I'm taking singulair, a steroid inhaler, and
xopenex
/atrovent nebs. The problem is I feel fine, and then I miss the nebs, because technically they are ""as needed"" and they speed my heart up, and then I have to take extra heart meds. Grrr.

Bad attack....seems like a good place to find people who understand
I also take
xopenex
. How do you guys deal with the uncertainty of when you might have an attack, or in another way...the certainty that you WILL have an attack. I find it kind of depressing sometimes. Bee
