I do not know what to do.
My asthma has been uncontrolled for a year now. Since the beginning of this year, I have had five courses of steroid tablets and five courses of antibiotics. Every day I need ventolin 3-4 times. My asthma nurse doesn't prescribe anything new to me, and the specialist didn't change anything either.

Oral thrush
Hello!:) I need some advice for this. I'm using Fostair, I really think it's from that inhaler. I have some white and red spots on my throat, nothing on my tongue yet. I have a few questions because this never happened before. Is oral thrush contagious? I'm afraid because I don't want to give it to

Cervical ulcers and joint pain- any advice?
Hello, I am currently undiagnosed with Behcets disease and under the care of the Liverpool CoE. I have my next appointment on 3rd July, so not too much longer to wait and see if I have any answers! In the mean time, I was just wondering if many of you suffer with cervical ulcers as part of your symptoms

Sodium cromoglycate inhaler (Intal)
Can anyone share their experience getting Intal inhaler since it has been delisted in the UK? Or, do you now take it via a nebulizer instead? If yes, can you share the name of the nebulizer device and the manufacturer of the cromolyn/chromoglycate solution? Pubmed indicates it's less effective than

Good morning, I am looking for advise for my 16 year old daughter please. She has had asthma since she was 2 years old. For years she was using Clenil ( Quvar 50 in lockdown) and used Ventolins. In Jan and Feb of this years she had a couple of mild asthma attacks which normally could be controlled

update on grumpy Grampy
hi everyone I haven’t posted for a while but thought I’d update you all. Grumpy Grampy is doing well, he’s off the steroids, after two years. Struggling a little with that, he’s ok if I keep my hands off his neck😉 he’s taking codiene, for the cough which helps a little, well was until the pharmacies

Is there anyone among you who has been treated for asthma without using steroid inhaler?
Hello Everyone! I have asthma and I’m using medications for 2 years now. But I’m seeing a lot of side effects and I really want to quit my streoid inhaler. Is anyone here treating their asthma without a steroid inhaler? Thank you in advance :)

Adrenal insufficiency
Has anybody who has had adrenal insufficiency caused by their steroid-based asthma inhaler managed to reverse the adrenal insufficiency AND remain on a steroid-based asthma inhaler? Or reversed the adrenal insufficiency by moving to a non-steroidal asthma management? If the latter, did you change to

Asthma and PIP
Hi everyone. I wonder if you can help. I am part way through completing my PIP application for Asthma COPD overlap. I was diagnosed in December 2023. Today I visited nurse for asthma/COPD review and was told that they are now putting my diagnosis as asthma as they have been advised by Respiratory Consultant

Asthma
Hi, After tests etc the doctors have decided I have asthma, not copd. I have been given an inhaler but I still cough a lot at night. Can I ask how long it takes for the medication to really take effect? Have been on it since last Thursday.

Wheezing and Tight Chest
Hi,After having a open lobectomy (RLL) I have had an issue with wheezing at different times if the day along with a tight chest. I was told back in November 2023 it's asthma that's causing the wheezing and I was given a different inhaler (fostair 200mg). It's now May and I still have the same symptoms

Causes Of Breathlessness
My asthma used to be simple. Periodic periods of tight chest and breathlessness. Then it worsened and they diagnosed asthma, many hospital visits later and i got up to severe asthma with poor control. Then I realised that my breathlessness was not simply asthma. There were very sharp attacks that

Anyone had this?
A bit of background….. from a young child my teeth have always been easy to decay, chest type infections growing up, lots of sore throats, (back of my throat is a bit of a mess), although the painful throats improved by mid teens. Now it is mainly, heavy/tight chest and hoarse voice. Sometimes when

Clenil making me wheeze?
Hi Has anyone experienced wheezing and a tight chest after taking their Clenil inhaler please? I’ve realised there seems to be a correlation between me taking it then this happening and then I need to take my blue inhaler. Thank you!
