hi all, just wanted some advise or just someone to chat to. So I’ve been quite unlucky and I keep getting ovarian cysts. I am planning to have surgery in 2 months time for the cyst to be removed, on the scan it was mentioned the ovary looked sticky as in the scan it hardly moved and it shows there’s

Can't believe I did this
I've had RLS for 15 plus years, mainly being treated with Sinemet (1 tab 25/100) over the years, with Ropinirole and more painfully, Pramipexole which caused severe augmentation a year ago. Three weeks ago, I had surgery for right anterior tibial tendon repair on my right ankle BECAUSE I stretched it

Post deep sclerectomy surgery recovery - severe fogginess causing severe worry and depression
(Posting on behalf of my dad) My dad, who is 80, had a deep sclerectomy on his right eye on 13 May. His left eye is already damaged and the right eye has some damage, but they did this to try and secure the sight in that eye. All seemed to be going well and he could get out and about in the couple

Extremely worried - FSH and LH levels
I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight on FSH and LH. I am extremely worried and upset and would be grateful for any help. I am a 29 year old female and I was diagnosed with PCOS back in August 2017 (due to an enlarged right ovary on a scan coupled with hair loss, some acne, facial hair

Weird leg pain
Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this weird symptom! For almost 10 years now I have had pain in my outer calf about two inches up from my ankle on both sides. It comes on with the slightest exertion but is not there all the time. The achy pain builds and builds until I feel like

Living donor post op issues
My daughter donated a kidney 9 months ago and has experienced changes since the surgery. She’s having a lot of bloating and changes to her bowel function. I’m wondering if anyone else who is in touch with their donor has heard of any specific changes since the surgery?

Long post sorry
I was officially diagnosed with endo 4 years ago after having my appendix removed and the surgeon seeing the issues at the same time. I have been fighting with doctors for over 20 years to believe that there was something wrong. I have had 6 months of hormone injections that were amazing and sorted

Shingles Jab
I noted that Lupus sufferers over 50 were supposed to be eligible for the Shingrix jab. However, after requesting one from the Surgery the receptionist said no. I did recently get the over 75s Covid booster without asking, courtesy of my immune system, , which I thought over the top. However, as rashes

Should I defer MRI
Hi. I have hip replacement op booked for 17 June.I have received cardiac MRI appointment for 26 June. I tried the MRI dept to ask if I should defer. They passed the buck back to Cardiology. I asked at the pre op assessment yesterday but again no clear advice. I usually recover quickly from surgery -
