Symbicort Nasal and Chest Congestion issues?
I feel the same on
Oxis
but I think I do need a LABA / LAMA. I don’t feel like this on Becotide so it must be the LABA? I’m starting to link my symptoms to Symbicort. Anyone else have a similar experience with Symbicort? I suppose the easiest at this point is to add a LAMA to my ICS... Thanks, Con.

Mild something going on, air bubbles, air moving in lung??
I've been trying out
Oxis
(A LAMA) and saw some benefit at the start, now its hard to tell. Here's my question I do notice a bubbling sensation in my left lung, like air moving. Very disconcerting and all types of things come to mind. No phlegm or infection to report. Anyone else ever have this?

Has anybody fond Formoterol Oxis etc to be better with less reflux or indigestion?
I'm trying to find a reliever that is less of a problem for reflux and wondered how if anyone has has found formoterol to be better? I have tried the combination Seretide, Ventolin and Serevent and they all give me really bad reflux. I'm on a PPI etc but it only makes it just about bearable.

Good control and inevitable suggestion of lower dose
Since the change I am on 1600mg pulmicort (inhaled steroid) and i take
oxis
6 twice a day as my LABA. (and montelukast too) I also have
oxis
as and when I need it so I'm no longer on salbutamol.

Symbicort and Oxis inhalers
Does anyone else find that they get discomfort in their bladder from using either of these inhalers? Both contain Formeterol. I get a burning sensation when I need to go to the toilet, which goes away if I don't use the inhaler. It works well to open up my lungs , but this discomfort is getting me down

Medication timings
Also, I usually do my terbutaline and ipatropium nebs, then take my
oxis
and then my budesonide. I need to do my
Oxis
12hrs apart because my cardiologist is already very annoyed that I take such a high dose of formeterol - i think he'd have an actual storke if i wasnt soacing it properly.

To repeat myself....I have been on atrovent and salbutamol for 2 years, but 6 months ago It was said I needed something extra........I have
used Seritide, Symbicort,
Oxis
and Qvar for a month at a time with no added help. I have now been prescribed ....Fostair as a last resort before I am sent to a consultant. Does anyone have any experience of Fostair?

Asthma/hypoadrenalism and generally tired of feeling ill
My respiratory consultant agreed with the removal of
oxis
, because I had also done an exercise test which showed my breathing was normal but my heart rate was incredibly high.

Asthma or no asthma?
I was on symbicort 200, put up to symbicort 400, then put onto a combination of pulmicort and
oxis
for a few months. I was also on two courses of steroid tablets, for a week each time, and none of these helped my breathlessness, cough, or chest pain.

grr leg cramps back again ;-(
I stopped and moved to flixotide and
oxis
, the cramps stopped but the
oxis
gave me gastrointestinal problems so had to take domperidone to counteract them. If its not one thing its another!!

No steroids ;-(
(i didn't think I was that much of a pain, just 'non-standard') Did I want to start
oxis
again, explined it gave me reflux and meant taking more medication to stop this so I'd rather not.

Lightbulb moment!!
Just been thinking, I'd been struggling to get my asthma under control towards the end of last year, eventually settled on Flixotide and
Oxis
and needed old blue about 3 times a week. Over xmas I stopped using the
oxis
(i was struggling to get hold of it from chemist!)

symbicort inhaler contents
Whilst the BNF states that
oxis
6 is 4.5mcg and
oxis
12 is 9mcg my coursework states that
oxis
6 contains 6mcg of formeterol and
oxis
12, 12mcg. Which one is correct, or am I missing the point somewhere?

Symbicort or Flixotide/Oxis
I am not sure that i am any better than i was when on the flixitide/
oxis
. Is it a case of what suits one dont suit the other. I thought flixotide was supposed to be the best. Does any body seem to do better on one that the other. I am struggling and not sure what to do.
