ER visit vomiting and diarrhea and heartbeats
Addition to earlier post about ER, etc. Before the ER visit I I had been experiencing pounding heart after some regular activities. EKG didn’t show anything the doctor didn’t talk to me about any tests they did. At the ER the rate was slightly above 100. They kept me until it was below

Personal Device to buy for 24hr home ECG.
I had a pulmonary vein isolation procedure 2 years ago for paroxysmal SVT/ ectopics. Been in NSR for two years 😊. Since having Covid booster 6 weeks ago had a return of arrhythmias and SOBE. So back on Apixaban ( had some at home and GP Px some more). Over last few days no daytime arrhythmias 👍, but

Update to ‘Waiting List’ post - cardiology appointment
This morning I had my cardiology appointment re my development of Left Bundle Branch Block. After the usual procedure - ECG, height, weight, BP, oxygen - I was called in to see the cardiologist, who, I have to say, I didn’t take to. I realise it’s sheer old fashioned prejudice but in a situation that

Unusual prescription?
Hoping this is the right forum... Hi all, I'm 73 with no weight, diabetes or BP ailments. A CT scan at a Targeted Lung Check last year revealed mild emphysema and "coronary artery calcification". The ensuing ECG indicated heart block (LAFB). Following an ultrasound last Thursday, I was prescribed these

A few weeks ago I posted about not being given any medication to shorten my AFib attacks and received many useful replies. Thank you all.. Since then I have sent my ECG readings to my cardiologist and 2 weeks ago I was started on 50 mg Flecanide twice a day with instructions to take another 50 mg one

Kardia EKG - the answer to my worries over my palpitations and heart racing!
My latest rabbit hole has been the fear and worry over palpitations, racing heart, flutters etc. My worry grows when I read similar questions on this forum, I know so many people have palpitations… and some actually have heart issues, some probably do not , and then there’s others like me - scared with

Hello, I recently lost my brother at Christmas, he was only 30 years old and was fit, active and health. Was studying at university to become a physiotherapist and had his whole life ahead of him. We recently got his cause of death which was due to SADS. I’m due to go for genetic testing and have

Difficult week
After my last admission I was experiencing considerable pain again , went to hospital & after ecg was blue lighted to Belfast. I was having a stemi and my right artery was blocked. A stent was fitted straight away but unfortunately I went into cardiac arrest afterwards, I'm so lucky I was in a hospital

understanding what's going on
I've had a mild arrhythmia for years, and now it's much more frequent, so I'm trying to understand what's happening and if I need to take any action. I've been to my GP to talk about it a couple of times over the past 2 years and had an ECG on each occasion, but entirely predictably, the symptom was

new medical conditions from ER visit
went to the ER 2 weeks ago for panic and anxiety and horrible intrusive thoughts. Was thinking I need to be admitted to the psych ward if needed. Second ER visit this year for this. This visit was better because the nurses and doctors actually cared. Got EKG done and found an arrhythmia in my heart.

Flecainide before Cardioversion
My EP's plan was to have me start on Flecainide and then have Cardioversion in hopes that my heart would keep rhythm. EP changed his mind because my INR was below threshold and told me to not take it until AFTER the CV in case the med converted my heart. I was instructed to have an ECG done 2 days

Thankyou
Thankyou to everyone for all the replies to my previous post. I have felt anxious because of being newly diagnosed and new to the meds so the replies have helped me greatly. I've still got an echo to come and 48hr ecg and I have the date for the ecg now. Thankyou once again.

waiting for an MRI
Hi. I am new here so not 100% sure how this works. I’m just getting anxious at the moment and wondered if this was normal to feel like this. It came to light at the end of January that I had a slight heart attack. I thought it was a panic attack but have been told that it has slightly damaged my heart

Update on Bank Holiday fun

iwatch setting - AF history or AF alert?
Prior to my ablation last October I had persistent Afib. Since then I have been in NSR. I have kept my iwatch monitor set to record “AF history” and it has consistently shown AF load to be 2% or under on the weekly notifications. Should I stay on this setting or should I now set it to show alerts the
