Today they gave me
heparin
after treatment as my CVC has been clotting and the doctor prescribed it. I've never used it so wonder what some others who do have experienced? I have surgery scheduled Apr 1 and don't know when or it I need to not have it before.

Allergy to heparin
I'm due to have chemo next week and am petrified of the
heparin
lock being out in when I'm finished the infusion. Any info / advice would be most welcome. Ann

I had
heparin
injections whilst pregnant but told I wouldn't need anything afterwards. Now I've been retested by GP and still have antibodies, so been referred to Haematology (18 week wait).

My UNOS listing
They want to avoid raising the
heparin
amounts during dialysis, and I'm in total agreement with that. And now, my nephrologist wants to send me to the vascular clinic for CT of the vein downstream of my fistula. I've already had two fistulagrams, for those of us keeping score.

warfarin v heparin
All I know about
heparin
is it’s faster acting and is used a lot on after operative care.

FET drugs emotional rollercoaster
I've been taking most of the previous meds after I got my trigger shot, with a small exception; I no longer take Duphaston and I got given
Heparin
shots. The waves of anxiety, panic, anger, sleepless nights and random cry episodes are just something else.

APS patients on warfarin suppose to have a
heparin
injections supply at home for emergencies when inr too low. The nurse said it’s a good idea since pharmacies don’t usually have in in stock. but up to my GP. thanks Kevin

Anticoagulation Therapy for AF
Perhaps you are taking a Direct Oral Anticoagulant (DOAC) such as; Apixaban, Edoxaban, Dabigatran,
Heparin
, Rivaroxaban or even Warfarin? Have you have recently been approached or had your medication changed to an alternative?

I found the cause of last month's collapse
The doctors will have to avoid using
heparin
on him. What little data there is indicates
heparin
usage causes a fierce reaction.

IVF newbie (question about lister and mental health)
I've been through many tests, and it seems I have a few conditions to do with blood clotting, so I am to go on progesterone,
heparin
and aspirin as soon as positive test. But that positive which seemed to come every few months last year, stopped since August. To be fair, we didn't try Aug-Nov.

Steroids or Intralipids or both?
I already take baby aspirin and
heparin
during the TWW due to antiphospholipid antibodies. Has anyone else had success after steroids and Intralipids? Or did you just have one and it made the difference? I’m wondering whether to just have the steroids. The Intralipids are so expensive!

I ended up in hospital when I transitioned from
heparin
to warfarin, which was badly managed. I expect it will be well managed this time but I don't want to have inadequate cover at any time. Be very grateful to hear your experiences Thanks, Ann

Stopping blood thinner for surgery
On the day of surgery they'll use
heparin
, but I don't remember the details about that. Have you stopped your blood thinner for surgery? How did that go? I am triple positive, LA, hashimoto's, sjogren's etc. Thanks so much! Anita in CO

Recurrent implantation failure
I’m on
heparin
and extra progesterone. I’ve tried EmbryoGlue each time and 2 endo scratches. Half of me wants to give it all up today, but the other half wants to leave no stone unturned and try and get to the bottom of it. Thank you for any help you can give me! Xx

stopping warfarin
They told me the person performing the steroid injection must make a “ bridging plan “, that may or may not involve
heparin
if I stop warfarin.

Fibrin in peritoneal dialysis drain fluid
The PD nurse is saying it happens sometimes with some patients and they can add
heparin
to the solution to see if that helps. Has anyone had experience with fibrin in their drain bag? Any experiences/knowledge shared about this would be much appreciated!!!
