He is starting Martin on carboplatin and
Etoposide
again on Monday. Am wondering if anyone knows of any other treatments worth trying. Would proton beam therapy…SBRT?? Anything? Martin is now 71 and except for a hip that needs replacing is in very good shape. Any help would be much appreciated.

Breathlessness
So I am having
etoposide
and paclitaxel then cisplatin and paclitaxel two weeks later. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a tight chest and breathlessness when having any of the above. Also I have developed a rash under both breasts which is quite uncomfortable.

Low platelets
She has just had her second treatment, which was carboplatin and
etoposide
. This knocked for six and she has been in hospital with low white blood cells, low haemoglobin and has no immune system. I appreciate these are common side effects.

Seeking anyone familiar with aggressive small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer and/or with lurbinectedin as 2nd line chemotherapy.
MSS, TMB low) I had 4 cycles of carboplatin/
etoposide
chemotherapy, which ended in March 2024 because a CT scan with contrast indicated a net increase in tumor burden.

Any insight into # platinum chemo cycles?
So I'm about to start cisplatinum +
etoposide
chemo cycles on wed. next week for NECP/SCCP. The first irritant I have of which I'm sure will not be the only one is: I have no idea what the treatment plan is, I don't know how many cycles I'm scheduled for and what the treatment goal is.

Neuroendocrine PCa
I was treated with 4 rounds of atezolizumab/carboplatin/
etoposide
(chemotherapy and immunotherapy). A pet/CT scan shows it was effective, and I fared better than I expected going in, but definitely have fatigue and weakness.

Update on neuroendocerine prostate cancer mets to liver.
He had 6 cycles of
Etoposide
and Carboplatin. This combination of chemo worked very well. As we are looking at getting Pluvicto for his bone mets we also organised an FDG scan.

small cell pc options?
The rechallenge of carboplatin and
etoposide
doesn’t seem to be working. They have suggested immunotherapy ( not sure what type). Thoughts? Also any research out there regarding PRRT? Any other trials? I thought there were threads but couldn’t find.

Update on carbolatin-etoposide
My husband whose advanced prostate cancer has now become neuroendocrine has just completed 3 cycles of carbolatin -
etoposide
for liver mets. He did a Ct scan and we just got the good news that his cancer has shrunk from 18mm down to 8mm. His MO is delighted, as are we.

Looking for suggestions
We have done two rounds of cisplatin +
etoposide
. But my father is unable to walk or do his basics and it feels like it's getting tougher for him. His potassium and albumin levels are also pretty low. Is there anything we can do to help with this situation ?

Update: Carbo/Etoposide for Dad’s Liver Mets
My dad has his 6th round of Carbo/
Etoposide
next week. The last 2 rounds have been very difficult on my dad. We thought he was lucky in the beginning as the side effects were manageable and attributed it to my dad being young and previously very active.

Prostate cancer morphed into NEPC
Now I'm on carboplatin,
etoposide
and Atezolizumab- chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The following article from Healthline is a great description of what took place, and possibly why.

CEA Fluctuations
My husband has just completed his 3rd cycle of Carboplatin and
Etoposide
for prostate cancer liver mets. Before the first cycle his CEA was 38 (should be <5) This number is being used as baseline. After 1st cycle it was 30.3 but after his 2nd cycle it rose to 32.7.

Prostate Cancer (stage IV) identified in January and Small Cell Carcinoma (Neuro endocrine) in liver in August. Any suggestions?
First round was completed two days back. where
etoposide
and cisplatin were administered. I don't have much idea about cancer and its treatment and things have been moving fast - Prostate Cancer and now Small Cell Carcinoma in six months. We live in India (Delhi).

My dad finished 6 sessions of carbo &

A PET scan after C2 of Carboplatin and
etoposide
showed that the disease diffusely in the skeleton, prostate as well as bilateral pelvic lymph nodes and a few small foci in the liver suspicious for possible liver metastasis.
