PD Effect on Sleep
The drug
ephedrine
(a stimulant used to treat postural hypotension) can also disrupt sleep. And keep in mind that over-the-counter pills like decongestants and antihistamines may cause sleep problems as well. Food is another common—and often overlooked—culprit.

First episode of AFIB that was constant. It was 20 hours before I was cardioverted.
They gave me adenosine and I think
ephedrine
to try and slow my HR down. I was 289 BPM when I arrived at hospital. I was immediately cardioverted and returned to normal sinus rhythm. I was 35 at the time so they kept me 3 days and ran every test on me and said I was perfect health and good to go.

Ephedrine Tablets - Bronchial Dilator.
Good afternoon everyone, can I ask if anyone with COPD, Bronchiectasis, Emphysema of CF takes or has ever been prescribed
Ephedrine
Tablets by their GP. I know it is a Bronchial Dilator and I am thinking of talking to my GP about it.

Ephedrine
However, I recently recalled that, when a child, I use to be given
ephedrine
tabs for asthma and was greatful for them. Just wondering if anyone with asthma is still treated with
Ephedrine
? Thanks in advance for any reply.

Pseudoephedrine
I then found a useful reference to pseudo
ephedrine
and asthma near the end of a very helpful article (a link to which I've included below). CAUTION. Pseudo
Ephedrine
is NOT suitable for people with certain conditions, and can be dangerous for folk with those conditions.

Special school.
In 50s/early 60s, tratement for asthma was very basic, no inhalers, mainly barbiturate based,
ephedrine
, Franol and Amesec (both conning
ephedrine
) When 9, it was decided to send me to a special boarding school, known as an Open Air School.

Hi, I'm new but my RLS isn't.
Also she had arthritis in her knees which was helped by using 1%
ephedrine
solution blended into aquaous cream. So I used that until they stopped producing it. That worked too. Because my RLS has become more severe now I am on duloxetine 120mg .

One final go?
I am now tempted to purchase medication online, or at a last resort purchase
ephedrine
as I know the weight loss and energy benefits, as well as the potential harmful effects of course. The thyroid UK website states that you can be privately blood tested for a smallish sum.
