I feel like everyone knows but me...
In March I was admitted to the hospital for crazy high blood pressure and severe
enteritis
. On my CT, they found bilateral abnormal complex adnexal cysts. Of course I have so many symptoms of ovarian cancer, but they are so vague really what woman doesn't?

Anyone else got tips for coming back after a nasty bout of gastro-

Frequent Infections
I have recently come out of hospital with gastro
enteritis
. It is very frightening how quickly I become ill. I seem to pick up every infection going despite being very careful. I feel vulnerable but don’t want to shut myself away. I would be grateful for your advice. Thank you.

Thyroid - updated bloods - advice
I was taking Esomeprazole and Pentasa (prescribed for anti inflammatory by gastroenterologist at Marsden for
enteritis
) have now stopped that medication probably 3 weeks prior to test. Just wondered if my cholesterol liver had any correlation to my thyroid? If it’s autoimmune? Many thanks!

Hello, I have had a relapse of GCA and have been put on a reduction plan. Was on 40mg pred now reducing by 10mg every two weeks. I had an emergency ultrasound of temporal and axillary arteries but it was three weeks after going on 40mg of pred so my consultant radiologist did say that nothing would

Question on PMR and Temporal Arteritis
Does anyone know: would an MRI show Temporal Arteritis or would a person need a biopsy to determine if Temporal Arteritis was present? Asking for a person newly diagnosed with PMR and in the ER dept was told she had Temporal Arteritis. Yesterday she went to the rheumatologist and was told she definitely

Tapering
Just a quick question about tapering Prednisolone. I have had GCA since Aug 22. Have tapered down to 5mg but had the beginnings of a flare. My rheumatologist told me to go up to 7.5mg. The flare abated. I then got an infection/virus and on the advice of the rheumatology nurses increased to 10mg for a

Aortitis
I was diagnosed with non cranial Giant Cell Arteritis in September last year. So far I haven't managed to find anyone else with this condition because most people have the temporal version with the headaches.Mine is Aortitis which apparently is rare. I'd love to share experiences with someone else

Charity request for help: GCA patients in England
Dear members with GCA, as you may be aware, NICE and NHS England don't currently allow repeat treatment with tocilizumab for GCA patients who relapse. This means that if you live in England and you've had a year's treatment with tocilizumab, you won't be prescribed it again. However, a recent study

Tocilizumab
I have had a BCC removed from the side of my nose. One of my rheumatology nurses told me that there is an incidence of Tocilizumab causing cancerous growths. It did pop up out of nowhere and I was shocked when the dermatologist told me that it was a slow growing cancer. Has anyone heard of this link?

Tocilizumab in the UK
I thought it may be helpful to share my Rheumy appointment yesterday. I have GCA and PMR and due to various reasons cannot tolerate Steriods. Instead I am treated with Methotrexate and tocilizumab which I received for a year as in standard in the UK. I was worried about what would happen when year expired

Adrenals
Morning everyone. This is my first post on here. I was diagnosed with GCA in August 2022 and have been tapering down the Prednisolone to 5mg. I also take Tocilizumab and Methotrexate as I’ve had a difficult time with the Prednisolone so many side effects. How do I know if my adrenal glands are working

Hi everyone, hope you’re all as well as can be. I’m approximately 3 1/2 years into this PMR. Sometimes it gets me down. I’ve been trying to start Humira for Ankylosing Spondylitis again, but the delivery company have been an absolute NIGHTMARE! It’s been so long since I last took it that I’m wondering
