Coronary angioplasty very tired and cold afterward
3rd day after coronary angioplasty and feeling worse. I'm very cold and extremely tired with headache and aching muscles. Is this usual. I'm struggling to get from chair to kitchen to make a drink. Will there be light at the end of the tunnel soon. Didn't feel like this before the procedure and am finding

Change of statins from Atorvastatin to Rosuvastatin
Hi guys does anyone have any experience of the above or any comments to share? I've just had an angioplasty and 3 stents (surprise!) and now on asprin, clopridogel for a short while - want to stop the bisoprosol shortly. But my statins have had a change - so has anyone any positive comments for the

A bit of a shocker
I'm hoping that the Aorta is ok to talk about in this forum.. (My logic is that it's attached to the heart so it should be ok) I got a letter from my vascular consultant yesterday, reviewing a telephone meeting I had with him after CT scan. One sentence stood out for me. 'as he (me) has a small focal

ECG not recording heart blockage
I write this long winded message to raise awareness about ECGs and blood tests not recognising angina. Over the last few months I have had very frequent angina both at rest and in exercise. My medication for a previous HA was increased to maximum dosage in January due to a visit to A&E and as usual

"I Walked Out One Summer's Morning"
is the working title of my book. Over recent years many people have said I should write up my experience which have varied from excellent to absolutely horrendous. My health journey started just over seven years ago when I had my first angina attack which lead to a quadruple bypass the following year

Angiogram plus possible angioplasty vs CT Angiogram
Hi all, would appreciate a steer on the above. Me: Persistent AFib in normal HR range 60-90. Some shortness of breath on hills but mild symptoms overall. Ejection fraction rate 50. Some structural wall stiffness. Failed cardioversion recently. Ablation or drug assisted cardioversion next step. However

How do I cope with exhaustion & chest pain?
Hi I’ve had heart issues for a year now. I’ve had CT scans, stress tests, ultrasound, and an angioplasty in which no major blockages were found. I’m told I’m on the max dose of stations, & BP meds. My cardio recently declared that it may be small vessel disease, for which I read there is no cure.

Post angioplasty
I am 74yr old male. 3 weeks ago I had an heart attack and was admitted to my local hospital. An “echo test” was normal. An angiogram showed a blockage in the LAD artery. This was successfully unblocked using a balloon. I was discharged from hospital following this procedure. Since then I have suffered

after heart attack, waiting for more stents - advice needed
My husband had emergency angioplasty with 2 stents following heart attack, just over 2 weeks ago. He needs a further 1-2 stents, and was told they’d be done within 3-4 weeks, so can’t start cardiac rehab until they’re done. He’s just been told the stents won’t be for at least 8-12 weeks, which has knocked

Thank goodness for our NHS and BHF
Hi - this is the first time I have ever joined a forum so I am a complete novice at this! After 62 happy and healthy years on this planet, 2 weeks ago I suffered the shock of my entire life. I woke up in the morning after a good nights rest and said to my husband that I felt a bad heartburn or indigestion
