CATARACT SURGERY & PRED
Today they called to say I could have my right eye
cataract
surgery
done this Monday. Do you think it advisable to do so and also, if I do should I drop the pred back down to 11 mg starting tonight? I would not like waiting til July, but is it worth risking whatever.

Confused…?
Have had two successful Trabs. and now have been advised that Cataracts are present and are beginning to cause a problem, but have been advised that
cataract
surgery
may have negative effect on Trabs? Any experience of this situation out there?👍

UPDATE ON CATARACT SURGERY
Hi all! Had my right eye done yesterday. Seems to have gone very well. Easy peezy. Good drugs. Took about 20 minutes at the most. Everything is so much brighter today. I can now see the dirt on my floors. Nasty! I didn't realize how difficult reading was and my specs weren't helping. Lol. I do have 3

A YAG capsulotomy
A YAG capsulotomy is a special laser treatment used to improve the vision after
cataract
surgery
. It is a simple, commonly performed procedure which is very safe. During your cataract operation, the natural ens inside the eye that had become cloudy is removed.

Cataract surgery?
Has anyone had any
cataract
surgery
while taking Pegasys? Is there a problem with eye surgery while taking Interferon? I'm about to be changed over to Pegasys from Hydrea, and also about to have
cataract
surgery
. Some of the things I've read seem to indicate that may be a problem.

Cataract surgery due to steroid medication
Hi all, I have Minimal Change Disease and have been on various doses of prednisolone since Nov 22. I've now got cataracts and my right eye needs surgery. I'm 39 and most of the information online seems targeted at older patients. Can anyone offer advice? For instance I'm used to wearing glasses for short-sightedness

upcoming cataract surgery
Any advice? do I take prednisone after surgery since I will be fasting overnight? How long do I have to wait until I can bend over? Does it take longer to heal with prednisone? I'm on 3 mg.

Get Your Cataracts Treated - Part 2
Each row has the same letters in the same order, but with increasing contrast from line 1 (extremely faint and no one I know can read it) to line 10 (faint but easy to read for anyone without a
cataract
. Most people without cataracts or who have had
cataract
surgery
can read lines 2 or 3.

Cataract surgery advice please.
I'd be grateful to hear how you all manage after
cataract
surgery
. Moorfields staff are wonderful, but your lived experience will be so much more relevant to me. Thanks in advance, Lindy X

Pseudo exfoliation syndrome and cataracts
I have been told I have pseudo exfoliation syndrome, is it safe to have
cataract
surgery
. The consultant I saw said I had 10times the risk. In the beginning I said no surgery, but my sight is blurred I have difficulty reading and watching TV.. any advice.

cataract surgery and prednisolone dose
Will I have to increase the dose to have
cataract
surgery
? Would it be better to have it done sooner rather than later (relative terms anyway these days)?

neck pain with clicking and popping when I move
I'm to have
cataract
surgery
on May 7th and was hoping this would be cleared up by then. I haven't seen a doctor because like most sore muscles they usually get better on their own now I'm thinking maybe I do need to see one. Any advice.

Tapering with PMR, Osteoporosis, Gall Bladder (new) and upcoming Cataract Surgery (second eye)
I was going to follow DLs 5 week taper plan, but think I should stay where I am, maybe even go up by 5 mg. until after second
cataract
surgery
this Thursday. I could deal with the back pain were it not for the front pain and gall bladder nausea.

Advice on Cataract surgery / narrow angle
On the Sunday I was in so much pain that I went to the eye clinic and the pressure was 70 so I had to have various drops and drugs to reduce this and was referred to have additional
cataract
surgery
which is happening this Friday.

Cataract surgery with AMD
Am having
cataract
surgery
on 23rd October in right eye first. I am short sighted and have agreed to have sight corrected at same time. I am now worried about wisdom of this as think it will highlight distortion in vision and will have to have reading glasses for the first time in my life.
