C-Reactive Protein Test
Good day everyone. Has anyone has their levels checked? Does high levels correlate with PA and Autoimmune Gastritis? Thank you

Side Effects Damaging Kidneys and Liver
My recent blood work came back showing liver and kidney damage, very low lymphocytes, and very high

test
, which I assume is needed before being prescribed Azathioprine.

Lupus re-diagnosis UCTD
Hello All, so when I last posted I had been to the rheumatologist Prof X and told my bloods were not suggestive of lupus but he did not suggest want condition could be the underlying cause of my symptoms. This morning he chose not to see me, instead I saw a very nice female doctor in clinical research

Suboxone/oxy update
After feeling poorly with joint and muscle pain, I decided to go off suboxone and back to oxy as an experiment. Disaster! although before suboxone, I had been easily comfy on 5 mg of oxycodone 2 to 2 times a day (albeit with breakthrough RLS in the middle of the night), this was no longer the case

I’m confused 😕
Isn’t the serum C reactive protein meant to be raised when we have an autoimmune disease like hashimotos? mine isn’t 🤔 Or is it just the TPO that is raised? Thanks in advance for any help with this…

Inflammation test - CRP
My GP ordered a CRP (
C
-
reactive
Protein
)
test
for diagnosing a potential health issue. The results were very good - .7, where normal range: 0.0 - 10.0 mg/L. This indicated my systemic inflammation level is quite low. Yay! Very low sugar, no alcohol diet.

An Eventful January Update - Pacemaker Delayed
Hello, I could sense trouble brewing last Friday when one of my knees became inflamed to the point I could barely walk over the weekend. All the signs are that it's gout, first time for my knee and it hurt's like hell. Had the replacement Pacemaker Pre-op this morning, INR was at 4.4, when the Consultant

Colchicine and Inflammation Revisited
Inflammation is one of the two principle drivers of “The Hallmarks of Cancer” which are the common drivers of progression of cancer from initiation to invasion and spread, to developing resistance to treatments and ultimately to end stage metastasis. Iron supplementation
Results are:
C
-
Reactive
Protein
(CRP) 3 mg/L (0 - 5) Iron 13.94 nmol/L (9 - 30) Ferritin 92.693 ug/L (20 - 200) Tibc 45.48 42.96-80.55 umol/L So now I am not sure if I should continue supplementing? I can see I have some inflammation, plus my Ferritin values are better than my Iron.

Albumin
New paper below [1]. About 18 years ago, a man who headed a PCa group in CA told me to forget PCa-related markers - the best indicator that a man wouldn't be around in 6 months was albumin. My albumin had been 3.9 at diagnosis. I worked to reduce sub-clinical inflammation via polyphenols (inhibitors

The CRP:Albumin ratio & CRPC Survival
New paper from Portugal below [1]. Here is another study showing the consequences of subclinical inflammation. The inflammation markers used were C-reactive protein [CRP] & albumin. {The useful Modified Glasgow Prognostic Score uses the same markers, but in a cruder way.} It is always better

Hello all! I'm a 29 year old guy from the UK. I've had diarrearh for nearly 6 weeks. I have severe bloating. I was admitted to Hospital last week, they've asked me to do a Bowel cancer sample test (which I've done) During the blood tests they've found my Liver Enzymes are elevated. They've ordered

What is reliability of

Diagnosis Journey
I was wondering if anybody else experienced frustration and gaslighting along their diagnosis journey. After being bounced from specialist to specialist (cardiologist, pulmonologist, neurologist, gastroenterologist, dermatologist, endocrinologist, ENT) for each symptom and having each one tell me that

back to the drawing board with aches & pains
My OH was put on a 10-day course for what the doc suspected was a viral infection or a bronchial reaction to Tamsulosin. Hubby felt absolutely brilliant while taking the Pred, but since he stopped them 2 days ago, his old age aches & pains have returned. Hey ho. But so far he’s not had the return of

update on blood results
Good morning everyone - so referring back to last weeks post my blood tests came back showing raised Neutrophil count 10.2 and my C-reactive protein up at 12 - so GP suggested going back to 12mg for 2 weeks then dropping to 11 for a further 2 weeks then repeating bloods. I also asked for a referral

Extreme fatigue. Any solution?
This is wiping me out. Honestly. It tends to start at about 5 pm and lasts for about 2/3 hours. I used to take Whey protein to counter it but this appears to not hit the spot. I’m utterly exhausted when this phenomenon strikes and am wondering if anyone has any ideas? I take B1 daily (Superior Source

Creatine and Whey protein
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in July 2020. In the last year I have lost weight by around 3.5 kg I went to a nutritionist because of the weight loss and, in particular, the loss of muscle mass.In addition to a diet and the recommendation to continue going to the gym twice a week for bodybuilding,
