Pain Relief that isn’t opiate based. Help!
I was given morphine but it put me into
bowel
obstruction
so I am now too scared to have any opiate based painkillers. Has anyone found any other pain relief that works and doesn’t slow the bowel? I’ll try anything! At the moment it’s just paracetamol. Thanks, Bianca

I too am feeling a little better, I did go to the hospital in the end, it seems I keep getting partial
bowel
obstruction
and it eventually clears itself, I’ve been told in future I must go straight to a/e as one day it may not clear, I have adhesions and it’s causing strictures in the bowel.

Bowel obstruction with HGOC stage 4a inoperable
Hi, I haven’t posted in a long while but appreciate reading everyone’s advice and support to everyone else. I had 3 attempts at surgery last year including the last with Christina F but all were unsuccessful due to extensive miliary disease on the bowel. I went back on 2 chemos so I could start on

Bowel Obstruction
Hi All, I’ve posted a few times lately but I wanted to update that my poor mum is currently in hospital with a small
bowel
obstruction
. They will not operate. They say they are 100% sure it’s the cancer and that it won’t clear.

Colonic irrigation for constipation?
He had 2 occasions, after colonoscopy and after
bowel
obstruction
. His posture was straight and overall Parkinson was better for few days . I therefore booked him an appointment at the holistic clinic for a colonic irrigation . I thought that could perhaps make him feel better.

bowel obstruction
It looks like there’s no more options for me as I’ve been in hospital for a week with a
bowel
obstruction
. HGSOC 3C. Had 2 lines chemo close together. Just had Carbo/gemcitabine but it made me so ill. Now I’m just waiting to see what happens. No food or drink. Any hints you brave ladies?

Walker etc. then month later emergency small
bowel
obstruction
surgery. 3 weeks in hospital then 1 week in rehab. I wasn’t home most of that time. Sister wouldn’t let me be alone. Finally I go home in November. Then ended year with Covid. Thankfully mild case.

Hospital discharge re: food
My mum diagnosed with psp in Jan has been in hospital nearly 4 weeks after having
bowel
obstruction
operation. Communicating with the hospital staff about her psp has been exhausting - they finally got it when I suggested aspiration could be fatal!

Help with results!
However I ended up in urgent care 2 weeks before the MRI with a suspected
bowel
obstruction
. My main endo issue has always been this feeling of everything getting stuck/trapped to the left of my belly button (I think in my descending colon) but it got so bad I felt my bowels had stopped completely.

Confused about relatives diagnosis and treatment for colon cancer
Grandad is 87, diagnosed with colon cancer at the beginning of the year. Only symptom was rapidly decreasing iron in blood. They said he had stage T4 and that they were going to do an operation to remove the cancer. They did just that last week. Doctors said they had removed the cancer and he was released
