I am 70yrs old woman gotten diagnosed last year with Stage 3 CKD. i had an infected tooth a few months ago and was given Amoxicillin 500mg 3 times a day for 10 days which cured the infection, a few weeks after that I had a plummet in eGFR from 40's to upper 20's and had to go to ER to get rehydrated

Tick antibiotics query
Previous post on tick bite in France. After receiving antibiotics for a tick bite that I managed to remove within the hour the Dr has given me Amoxicillin 1g 3x times a day. He stipulated its precautionary because of CLL otherwise he wouldn't have given anything. I've contacted my own CNS at the hospital

amoxycillin interaction with T4+T3?
Just been prescribed a week’s amoxycillin for a chest infection (3 times a day)!😞 I take first T4/T3 of the day at 7am+following T3 at 2pm + final T3 at 8pm. I can change round the two T3s to fit in with antibiotics but how do I fit the amoxycillin in without affecting the T3+T4? Confused.com!!🤓

Can I pick some brains please.
So still can't get GP to reinstate my 150mcg Levo repeat prescription, the one she lied about me agreeing to. I have a BH kit ready, will do it Monday and see what's what. As an aside, I feel really S**t at the moment, anxiety ridiculous, fatigue, poor sleep, not much interest in food, hair falling

Thyroid and stomach issues
Hi everyone,I have been on Levothyroxine for 4 years, I just switched to Tirosent medication 6 months ago. I have struggled with Diverticulitis and HPlori. The Dr keeps putting me on Protonix (Proton Pump Inhibitor) until yesterday, I was told to go off it and take Amoxicillin and Metronidazole. This

Antibiotic therapy. Now I have severe insomnia
On February 25th, 2024 I must have injured my gum and I got a tooth/gum infection which was treated first unsuccessfully with amoxicillin, then successfully with cephalexin for 7 days (Mar 3rd - Mar 10th, 2024). The night that I finished the cephalexin I had difficulty sleeping (5 hr 51min). Each night

I am now able to tolerate antibiotics again after my nerves healed
Hello! I just want to give this update about my situation. I hope people on here find this because my situation was a nightmare and I think this can help people who are confused and not sure what to do or if they'll ever be able to tolerate antibiotics again (TL;DR: you will be able to if you can heal

Afib returned temporarily?
I had my second ablation about 18 months ago and have been in NSR since but then last night…. My Fitbit showed I was in afib from about 3 am, my heart rate varied from 48 to 176 and I woke up feeling very jittery. My heart rate has been all over the place again today and I feel quite light headed. My

Lower respiratory tract infection
I was poorly all over Christmas with shortness of breath and coughing. I had had COVID 2 weeks before that but was testing negative. On Christmas Day, a consultant checked me out and sent me home with the instruction to take antihistamines. I still felt terrible so last Saturday I went to the emergency
