Hi everyone, McDonald's fries ๐ have been devoured! Absolutely essential of course ๐๐
I finally had my transfer yesterday after collection back in jan/Feb. It takes me so so long to down reg!
From that collection, I got 5 eggs, 2 fertilised and 1 x 4bb- was frozen, I was 42 at the time. When I went in yesterday he said they'd defrosted and regraded it to 4bc+ so pretty much the same as it was, looked nice and alive and good to transfer.
Who oh why do they tell you these things, now I'm worried it was going backwards. I was perfectly happy just knowing it had defrosted ok and was good enough to transfer. I don't care about grades but that messed with my head!
This is my 5th transfer of my 6th embryo, and if you include my iui, it is my 6th TWW. All been bfn so far. It never gets easier.
On one hand I feel super relaxed and in denial. On the other I'm negative already. I'd love to hear successful lower grade embryo stories?? ๐ค๐ผ๐๐ผ

There are so many stories and opinions re: grading. And lots of clinics / countries grade differently. My best friend had two embryos transferred, she was told one was too quality and the other was average , not great to be blunt!!
She had twinsโฆ.both implanted regardless of โqualityโ .
Try not to get hung up on the grading. Regardless, your embryo is in the best place now โค๏ธ
I know itโs a tough two weeks for you โฆ.wishing you lots of luck ๐ค๐ค
I donโt know the grade of the embryo but I know someone who gave birth to a baby boy at the age of 45 (it was their only embryo, egg collected at 44). Youโve got this ๐ช๐ผxx
wishing you the best of luck ๐ค , I agree I think that knowing embryo grading cause more anxiety , I didnโt have any grading in my first two rounds & then in my further two I did & it was another thing to fixate & worry over.
Thank you loads. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a 2ww lol but your comment actually made me rethink it and I really should try and enjoy the bubble xx
48 years old, double donor transfer 7, embryos 9&10 lowest grade Iโve had at AB and BB - first BFP! ๐คฉ๐ (1 previous chemical) . Viability scan today ๐๐ผ๐๐ . I always had Maccies fries too!
I'm honestly over the moon for you. Your journey is even longer than mine so I know what it's like to be on this rollercoaster for a long time babe. Best of luck for your scan, I'm sure it feels surreal x
Hi, good luck, wanted to share that im currently 5wks3days with 4bc. Early days and had a few scares already low beta of 94 then more than tripled in 72hrs to 708, so think it was just a slow starter. But sounds like these little bc embryos are fighters. Like you i was so worried but it stuck after 4 losses of top quality blasts. I wish u all the best xxx
๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ 4BC for the win!!!! That's great news. I don't feel anything at the moment except cramps from the lubion. Like nothing even happened. Suppose transfer was only Thursday lol
Hey Joey, Iโm 43 to (currently stimming) and about to do one last collection with own eggs, itโs such a hard place to be knowing itโs last chance so wishing you so so so much luck and hoping that this is your timeโฆโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
So hard babe, but we are still here, still trying, still brave! I'm 7 years trying now and it just takes its toll doesn't it! Good luck with the stims!
So so so hard, I honestly canโt remember life without fertility/loss heartache. But you are right we are still here and with the help of my trauma counsellor I try to remember I must be stronger than I think to get up and keep going everyday ..hopefully it will be worth it for us all and weโll all get our happy endings eventually.
My older sister had my niece (natural pregnancy) at 42 almost 43, so I try to hold on to that.
So much luck and love to everyone at every stage on this journeyโฆthank goodness for this place where we can lift eachother up, I am grateful for that.โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ
Hi, Iโm 43 and currently 7 weeks pregnant from my 5th transfer. I always had BFNs before this little miracle and thought it would never happen. My clinic donโt tell you the grades. Just if theyโre โgoodโ or โaverageโ etc. But from this cycle I had 3 embryos and the best and second best didnโt work. So the one that worked was the lowest quality of the 3 and my last embryo. What I did differently was I had the ERA before this transfer which told them I needed an extra day of progesterone before transfer. Thats pretty common apparently. All of my others had been put back to early with no chance of sticking. So as soon as they corrected the timing issue it worked! Good luck to you x
Oh congratulations darling! That's amazing news. Funny you say that as I'm also on my era protocol for the first time, I needed 24h hours less so transfer day 4! Here's hoping it makes the difference for me too. Xxx
Wishing you the best of luck, Joey! Our clinic suggested strongly on transferring 2 embryos (DE) graded 4BB and 4BC as they donโt think the lower grade is good for freezing and this is only to increase the chance of pregnancy because of my geriatric age.๐คช Both stuck and now chatting away next door. ๐๐ I was 49 giving birth to them. โค๏ธ
That's just fabulous to hear! I wonder why they thought even the BB wasn't good enough to freeze, that's a pretty solid grade! Delighted it worked for you xxx
