Hello all, Im new here too… advised by my GP to try a forum for ideas and support for my Adenomyosis. I’m currently awaiting a hysterectomy. I was put on Ryeqo last September by my gynae consultant, who advised it was a last chance saloon & “miracle drug” that would solve all my problems! But it’s done nothing! Interested in learning if anyone else has tried it/is on it? Also should I be having an MRI prior to a hysterectomy to confirm adenomyosis - as so far only had a laparoscopy & ultrasound that “suggest” that’s what it is… any help/advise welcome & thank you for taking the time to read xxx
Anyone tried Ryeqo? : Hello all, Im new... - Endometriosis UK
Anyone tried Ryeqo?
I'm on my second six months go at decapeptyl and that helps with the pain. I'm also waiting for a hysterectomy. But wish the menopause would come first. Mine was diagnosed at ultrasound scan but the radiographer also had endometriosis and was interested in it etc so I think I was lucky. She also diagnosed the Adenomyosis too. Hope you get some help. X
Oh wow that was lucky! Thank you for your reply Poppy. I hope you get your date through soon. I’m really struggling with my symptoms and was counting on “the wonder drug” working for me. I’ve just signed off work, as I’m at the point where I can’t manage a work & life balance with my health now, so I’m really hoping the surgery will come soon. Best of luck to you xx
I had my first endo operation in 2014 and was confirmed stage 4 endo warrior. Although I was on the pill continuously, I started bleeding heavily again last year in January. I was diagnosed with fibroids. I was on Ryeqo for 6 moths and although it did stop my heavy bleeding, all my other symptoms still persevered. An MRI confirmed my endometriosis was back and I also was diagnosed with adenomyosis. I was afterwards for 6 months on Zoladex / Decapeptyl which for me were 6 months of hell (even when HRT was added). I'v now been put back on Ryeqo and am waiting for my Hysterecomie later this month. I could only suggest: yes, have that MRI done for at least it should give your some peace of mind. When is your hysterectomy planned? Wishing you all the best. Life is not easy with endo x.
