Follow up from diagnostic laparoscopy

Hi all, it's so lovely to find you guys!! I had a laparoscopy yesterday and doing well apart from the usual brain fog and soreness. I was just wondering how long it took you guys to have a follow up appointment with the endo team/consultant after having one done. They told me yesterday that I have moderate endometriosis on both sides of my pelvis and rectovaginal (I think they mentioned pouch of Douglas but I was still groggy from the anaesthetic). They didn't take anything out yesterday so I am just left wondering what next steps/time lines there will be. If any of you have had similar experiences it would be fab to hear from you ♥️

I had my lap back in April diagnosed stage 2 and like you my pouch of Douglas was mentions but not much else. I've had no follow up I've had the merina coil fitted which seems to help buy over last couple months started suffering again. I'm going to chase the hospital and find out why I didnt get a letter or appointment after x

Hi Veromina.

I cannot remember very well, but I think it was a few weeks after. Lets say 6 or 8 perhaps. I remember feeling well enough to go on the bus and to walk without any problems. They should invite you in for a check up.

I had my lap in October and they removed the endo but I was not given a follow up appointment. They didn’t even come and see me after surgery. I was just given discharge notes. Left me feeling very confused and alone, with lots of questions unanswered. I need to make time to call the hospital or see my GP and ask for a follow up appointment. If you don’t hear anything, maybe do the same? X
