Sleep issues on antipsychotic

Hello I have asked something similar before but is there anyone else whose had sleep issues namely insomnia as a side effect on their medication? Or has anyone had insomnia when they were being weaned off their meds? I am getting about 2 to 3 hours sleep a night for the last year.

Apart from survived with colour and Pikorua are there any other ladies who've suffered adverse side effects on their meds?

Thanks so much for any replies.

Jo

Hi JosephineFay, I do feel for you because having so little sleep for a year sounds horrendous. Has your doctor being a bit more receptive lately to you switching to another medication, as this one is having such bad side effects? You have mentioned in previous posts how they have not listened to your concerns and that is very heartbreaking to hear. I am sorry I cannot offer more practical experience as I have not been on haloperidol myself, but PALS maybe the next step to try, if you approach them with your history they will hopefully help on this impasse with your doctor.

I will be thinking of you and hoping that you will be able to access a treatment that gives you better quality of life. Take good care,

Maria
