Update!

I was scheduled for a Pulse Field Ablation at the end of the month, but my Afib this week was going on for 36 hours so I was told to go to the ER. Fortunately, my doctor told me he would try to fit me in on Friday.....which he did.

I am very relieved that it is over and I am home with very little pain and, so far, no noises from my heart.

They did the shaving, I was intubated, I had general anesthesia, and did not feel any ill effects from the drugs.

Many thanks to those of you who replied to my inquiries, and feel free to ask me about any details that I may forgotten to mention. Still a little foggy today.

Rest up now and take care

Goodness me, that was quick - a pulsed field, too. Let's hope that all goes smoothly and you'll soon be looking back on AF life as a thing of the past. Our hospital has just got its own PF unit, so that is what I am likely to be having in due course.

Best wishes for continued NSR Joyelane!

Rest well, I was more tired than usual after ablations with the PFA.

I am now 7 months out with not a glimmer of AF. AT or Flutter

Hope springs eternal!
