DNA Testing ?

Has anyone been referred for, or used DNA testing for MCAS diagnosis?

I understand there are genes which can identify deficient degradation of histamine, and also low DAO which can result in the histamine overloading and MCAS symptoms. I wonder if anyone has seen a consultant who used gene testing for mast cell issues (I know there's KIT816 test but I believe that's the other mast cell issues cancer like over production of cells, not over reactive cells in MCAS but may be wrong?)

Or are DNA tests just showing a predisposition to have these conditions not a definite result?

Welcome any insights.

I've never done it myself but on Tina Peer's page she says her daughter was genetically tested by LifecodeGx: drtinapeers.com/histamine-i...

I had Histamine Intolerance test done last year through LifecodeGx which identified lower DAO activity. It certainly helps to identify the issue. They are not cheap tests but I decided to invest and get them translated by a qualified nutritionist with advice. This was suggested by Dr Tina Peers.
