Has anyone been given Lansoprazole as an alternative to Ranitidine? I know that it isn't a like for like replacement.

I was already taking lansoprazole as well as ranitidine, so will continue on that while I try a new H2 blocker to replace the ranitidine. I've tried each separately to see if one would do the job, but didn't have success with just one in the past.

Also should add that the alternative H2 blockers that may be available in the UK are famotidine, nizatidine and cimetidine. They have been in and out of stock so far since rantidine was removed from the worldwide market, and up to date supply info should be available here: psnc.org.uk/our-news/supply...
