Tremor post vm

I have been 9 months post vm and have had internal tremors in my arms and shoulders and am wondering has this been caused by the vm or could this be something else..I have not had any issues until I got vm and am wondering if this will eventually go away.

Yes, I can certainly relate to this. I had tremors in my hands and legs for nearly a year afterwards. All the MRI scans came back negative and the neurologist had no ideas what might be causing it. The good news is it did eventually improve quite a lot although not entirely. The frustrating answer always seems to be that as you grow older this is quite normal! If it developed suddenly over many years I could understand this, but when it immediately follows a viral infection common sense tells you it must be related. I doubt that any medic really knows what actually happens to our central nervous system after a severe illness like viral meningitis.

Apologies, my comment should have said 'if it develops slowly', not suddenly.

Same here I get tremors in my hands more than anything. I am at 10 months since I had VM and my whole life has been turned upside down. I hope you feel better soon. It can be hard and scary but we are here to support each other.
