Hi, my 24 year old daughter who has a diagnosis of Autism and anxiety has just left college and is planning to start a ‘Supported Internship’ within the next couple of months (hopefully) . As this is not a paid internship, does anyone know what financial help she is entitled to, she currently receives DLA and ESA.

If it’s to do with the college don’t they have a student support service you can ask otherwise I’m not sure sorry.
Have you had a needs assessment from social services yet? Your daughter might be entitled to a direct payment which could help fund her social needs ie pay for her to attend autistic social groups and holidays. It is not for personal expenditure but support to live her life where she needs help. Try your local carers group for advice. You might be able to apply for carer support as well.
