Easy come, easy go

A few weeks ago, I came into an unexpected windfall when the DWP awarded me an extra 55p

Even though with my head injury, I was wise enough not to let it go to my head. Not so much being frugal but just in case it pushed something valuable out.

It was a good thing because today like many others my council tax demand arrive with an ominous thud in the hallway.

Dreading the worst.I fumbled my way through all the propaganda to the actual bill of £5.84. However, looking at the convoluted calculations there is no way I can un pick them.. Much more complex than the US Election figures. Which does temp me to go into full on Trump rant and say the counting was rigged and demand they find more deductions from elsewhere?

If I don’t contest it, it means the yacht will have to wait for another year.

However, they have offered a lifeline in a non COVID compliance set of instructions, I can reduce my debt by monthly instalments by paying cash in the Town Hall.
