Like most old languages, Welsh has phrases which are more feelings than literal translation one of which is "Yma o hyd" which sums that feeling of defiance when you have know when everyone has done their worst to you but you are still hanging in there!

oh how true that is Sospan. I'm glad to say I don't count any of you here on HW as being part of everyone ' but having been told yesterday that my original birth and marriage certificates are not with the french legal authority I thought they were with and no-one is certain where they are and today been told the police have decided the car accident I was involved in was my fault - despite the other french driver hitting my car when I was stopped sitting in it .

I certainly feel they are all against me. Even My 2 sons and separated from don't want to talk to me at all now - it just makes me feel everything is my fault now since the B I - -but I will carry on! Yesterday and before for a few weeks - I felt great - today, now - Who knows - but fighting on to overcome the setbacks and disappointments has to be more rewarding than giving in and doing nothing!

When I was sent for a Psychological review after my head injury the Psychologist said she was going to undertake an examination to see if I was depressed. Before she could start, I asked her to read my life story, the events, where I had worked, the accidents and incidents. As she was reading the story she kept looking at me and at the end just said "this head injury is not going to make you depressed" I guess its the same with yourself - you just have to battle on ..

However, Its strange isn't it when your up, someone wants to knock you down. When your down everyone wants to pile in.

thank you sospan, thats so accurate. GP's do always like to diagnose depression don't they? - I have my first neurologie appointment here on 28th Feb, and had a brain scan last week, but in a different type of machine from my initial check up scan in September in my old area. But as its stress of recent months followed by car accident & airbag hitting head, made after effects at their worst, so not sure if there will be a referral for me or not to a psychologist.

Did you find it helpful talking to the Psychologist, once she 'got the picture, is she going to do any follow up with you, or is that it as far as she is concerned? x

It was only the one session and she could see that my life had made me very robust.

The only concern the health professionals have for me is getting me to adapt to a slow life. After years of working 18 hours a day on various things having to take things slowly and cope with limited funds is really hard to cope with. U used to walk 7-8 miles a day now they are telling me to walk no more than 20m

we can't win can we - all of us I mean - you can do this or you can't or must not do that. No stress! We must all take it more slowly, in some cases we have no choice - but they are trying to help us which I appreciate - but that's so often what makes frustration set in and that can be stressful. We just have to adapt to tolerating we are what we are now but that hopefully doesn't mean that we give up on our aspirations.

please i feel i have to add my gp is not intresed he is on angezity not rest ispoke to phycrisit yesterday morning , heres 1 for the booki asked 3 poss 4 ?'s, main my personaity has changed not for better , im angry im tired out nut csrnt sleepi regret getting nasty 2 people after done it he nos ive lost use left side carnt even wash my hair getting dressed well trying 2 takes hours im hording dont no why in head its like fear, DO YOU NO WHAT HE SAID with your brain injury its commonoki no understand that bit but then he said other option is you died or wre deadthese words came out of a man who was after trailing me on pills untill walton stopted him well said not right thing for mehow ever they put it hes not 2 so nice live with it or be dead, thats a phycrisit , id rather gp i no lady abo is in wales 2 but i guess soulth wales or shed have no support in north wales im not far of england border but postcode stops me gettng help well correct helpwould anyone say phystrist was not very profesional coming out like that ad to a person whos took a overdosei just listened 2 him think outh dropted im awear i was nearly deadand coud be same for us all but 2 come out like that i give up with the lot gps phycrists all as you can tell by my words i was took aback v j x
