Why do we need a HealthUnlocked Community if we have a forum or Facebook group?
HealthUnlocked Communities complements Facebook and forum activity, adding a further layer of condition-specific functionality. Our communities provide great functions that encourage participation and have good privacy settings. HealthUnlocked Communities are free in regards to design, maintenance hosting, upgrades and setup.
How long does this take to set up?
HealthUnlocked communities takes no time at all to setup. All you need to do is submit some information about your patient group. After this your community can go live!
How time intensive are these communities?
The idea of online provision with membership is that others may respond providing support at the times you can't. Our experience shows that members tend to moderate the space themselves and these open communities allow you to provide personal one-to-many rather than one-to-one content easily.
How does HealthUnlocked finance its work?
We sometimes share de-identified, aggregated data with our carefully selected research partners. No personal identifiable information is ever shared with research partners. Users can opt out of this process and still use HealthUnlocked. We also work on a number of bespoke projects providing tools to a number of NHS and private hospitals as well as other organisations. Our work already meets stringent requirements of the NHS and major charities so we understand our business!
