Thank you for posting all of this, Milkfairy. Oh my goodness! I’m so concerned about the hardships this will now bring to so many.

Thank you for this post . I have saved it for reference . I’m amazed they have even included Takotsubo as having been recently diagnosed I’ve been having a hard time getting knowledge and questions answered .

Hello,

Welcome to the forum.

I also live with a rare form of angina so I was surprised to see it included too.

There are a few others on the forum who have had a Takostubo event and hopefully fishonabike will be along soon to share their experiences with you.

In the meantime there is this website that you may find helpful.

takotsubo.net/people-with-t...

Cardiomyopathy UK has some information too.

Thank you . I did request to join the Facebook group weeks ago but still pending ? I did fill in the questions ? Must be busy . I found some info on the British Heart Foundation and saw some research from a professor in Scotland that was very interesting with some pointers to inflammation .

Maybe try again to join the Facebook group? It is a well moderated, friendly and supportive group.

I never knew there was one. What's it's full name?

I am referring to a support group for people who have had a Takostubo event.

thank you very much for posting this - it is really useful to have this info as the question does not come up often enough

personally i always urge caution when it comes to driving - I feel that we should not drive if we have any health condition which could affect our concentrtion or attention - we put ourselves and all other raod users (including pedestrians) at risk by doing so

i know this can cause huge inconvenience for some but we must think of our responsibility towards others

Thanks for posting this link. Also goes into detail on aortic conditions - much more detailed than the NHS website! The Marfan Trust (UK support group) has already picked up on this and mentions it in their latest guidance on surgery, which is due to be published shortly.

Thank you Milkfairy, there's a few times I would have had to let them know. I've not been driving recently if I've had one. Regards Sheena x
