Update following catheter ablation.

Well, those 6 weeks (on Tuesday) have flown and the heart continues to behave 🤞😊Still getting a feeling of trapped wind when I swallow especially when I lie down at night.

My GP thinks this may be the esomoprazole as it's notorious for causing gas. I also have a bit of a sore tongue of all things, anyone else experienced this reaction?

My resting heart rate remains about 10bpm over what it was pre-ablation at 74bpm. Still on Sotalol at the moment.

I feel I am doing ok thanks to the support of you lovely people and although I wouldn't choose to go through it again at this moment in time I think I made the right decision.

Off to Yorkshire next week, lucky to have friends with a second home overlooking Robin Hoods Bay!

Oh lucky you. You will surely enjoy that most beautiful part of the UK and let's hope the weather is pleasant, too. Maybe go to Alnwick while you're "oop North" to see its marvellous gardens.

The gassiness might well be irritation to the diaphragm rather than the PPI tablet. I had lots of this but it did eventually settle, as yours surely will.

Glad to hear you are doing ok, enjoy your trip! I don't have a sore tongue but my right upper airways hurt still, 31/2 weeks later, I wonder if they shove in the tubes too hard for a general?

Perhaps they do! Have you spoken to the arrythmia nurses? I didn't have a general anaesthetic but a cocktail of drugs that sent me into la la land!

well I spoke to them over week ago and was given colchicine but only mild improvement. I guess I just have to wait it out.

I was only given the Lanzoprasole for 6 weeks. Enjoy your holiday in Yorkshire. Glad you’re doing well.
