Discomfort

It has been three weeks since my cardiac cryoablation. The only problem that I'm having is some lingering discomfort at the cath site in my right leg. Site is completely healed with all swelling, bruising completely gone. but it just feels like there might be a small knot in the area that causes the discomfort. I'm 62.

It is probably nothing but why don't you phone the arrythmia nurse where you had your ablation. They are usually very helpful.

This is likely to be just the healing process . A pea sized lump is quite common for a while but may feel HUGE!. After my angiogram I had such in my right wrist for about six weeks. As suggested speak to your arrhythmia nurse or ring the EP secretary if you don't have one and explain you concern.

It's been 8 weeks since my cryoablation and the top of my leg near the insertion site is still a bit tender. It took about 6 weeks for the lump to go.
